Worst place to work
Outside Sales (Current Employee) –  Batesville, INJune 3, 2018
Way too hot. A couple of fans is not enough. Management sucks. Pay could be better. Ya over time is nice sometimes but every single week is too much. Don’t think they realize we have an outside life
Pros
Close to home
Cons
Everything

Don’t waste your time.
Picker/Packer (Current Employee) –  Batesville, INMay 23, 2018
The worst thing about Thrive is the management, it’s awful. They lack communication with employees, change fixed overtime schedules too often, and disregard everything that is said to them when it comes to making improvements within the building. 3 Head management positions (1 was a transfer and 2 were fired) have been refilled in my time there as well as quite a few on the floor lead/supervisor positions. They go through people QUICKLY in salary as well as hourly positions. The work itself is easy and fast paced and most catch on quickly. The building gets very hot in the summer and they won’t add more fans to locations that don’t receive airflow. They understand that their turn over rate is so high and I don’t think they want to do anything to fix it. It’s easy to get a job here quickly, and full time + benefits. The job does have its perks, but the decisions that management makes with zero regard for their employees is what causing a lot of long time workers to walk out the door and find someone that pays more than $13 an hour. They also do not hire into the weekday-day shift.
Pros
Free EXPIRED food, paid lunch.
Cons
Poor Managment.

Inbound Receiver (Former Employee) –  Batesville, INApril 27, 2018
There is no room for advancement. They no longer promote workers on the floor to the next level. Instead they hire their buddies from the outside. Some of the supervisors will claim your hard work as their own. If you stand up to them or go against them you will find yourself out of a job very quickly.
Pros
Good coworkers

Really Enjoy the company!
Office (Current Employee) –  Sparks, NVMarch 22, 2018
Supervisors are incredibly flexible and laid back. They understand working in a warehouse might not be your permanent placement in life, and they understand that. Supervisors do a good job of referring you within the company if you are clear about your long-term goals.

I have seen pickers be groomed for leadership, and custodians become pickers. Just make your goals clear to your leaders, and they will keep you in mind.
Pros
Good pay, good leadership, not particularly stressful, no drug test, offers a lot of benefis at little to no cost (dental, vision, life, Ad&d), lot's of free food!
Cons
no 401k matching, health insurance isn't the best i have seen, but certainly not the worst. Little PTO or sick leave when compared to some places.

Learning Experience
Member Service Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAFebruary 26, 2018
Great opportunity to learn about eCommerce industry due to constant operational changes. While it's a great opportunity to learn, various departments that should work together have no planning and or execution contact with the front-line. The culture is not a fit for everyone due to young leadership.
Pros
Good MS teams. Wholesome lunch and snacks available for free.
Cons
Management. Two locations with extremely different cultures and environment, almost like two different companies.

Thrive is a great company with a wide variety of organic food. Thrive takes pride in providing care and concern for it's customers, although the managment team does not take too much care and concern for it's employees.

Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Bemidji, MNNovember 24, 2017
Working at Sprucewoods is a very stressful job, you work with people that have on going mental health issues, it can be a very high maintenance job an some people are hard-to work with, they can ask the same question of you 30 times a day, they have difficulty with everyday things such as bathing keeping their room clean, etc. the most enjoyable part of my job is when a person moves out on their own and actually succeeds, the rate of success is very low and their are people who come in all the time that have been there 4-5 times already, its very sad to see how they decline each time they come back.
Pros
good people to work with
Cons
a lot of mental stress

RESOLUTIONS SPECIALIST (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CANovember 5, 2017
Thrive provides healthy eating for everyone. With every paid membership, a family in need receives a membership for free.

The office moral could be a lot better, but you're guaranteed full time position, health care, vision and dental. They used to offer free life insurance for hourly employees, but I don't think they provide that anymore.
Pros
lunch provided tuesday and thursday, snacks offer in kitchen daily
Cons
attendance policy, no room for growth

If you just need someplace to work this is a viable option
Retention Specialist (Current Employee) –  Los Angeles, CASeptember 24, 2017
A typical day at work is answering calls and emails from a bunch of people who don't know that they're a member or will be charged. You'll ask for help often because you'll often be "trained" (told to read a ton of information on your own time and expected to remember all of the stuff you read) and told to do something you're not qualified to do. You are told that you have to retain people basically by any means necessary and if you don't they practically threaten to fire you. The pay is pretty low considering its a call center and you have to deal with angry people most of the day. And on top of that the call center is not run that well. You'll never get a definitive answer if you ask for help and many of the leads don't care to help you. Its often best if you just help yourself and deal with the consequences later. The worst part of the job is the fake job culture where people act like they care but they only care if the company is up and running. They only care about retaining.
Pros
free lunch
Cons
short breaks, strict attendance, disorganized, moderate pay, no room for advancement

Not Up to Par
Member Services Representative (Former Employee) –  Marina del Rey, CASeptember 19, 2017
Chaotic company to work for. No one on the same page. CEO's often seem disinterested. Need to bring in some efficiency experts to help manage the office. Baby brother and sister often run the company in the CEO's absence. Save your time and don't work here. Member Services was going in the right direction until they fired their top management staff. Management is not diverse.
Pros
free lunch every day
Cons
us vs them mentality, Member Services, low pay

Only "healthy" on the outside - Extremely poor management.
Talent and Organization (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAJuly 3, 2017
Sadly only healthy on the outside. What was once an inspiring & exciting startup has taken a downward spiral with poor, inexperienced management and an extremely toxic work culture.
