People Ops Generalist (HR Generalist) (Former Employee) – Batesville, IN – February 1, 2019
Company does not give much notice to the workers. They are only interested in getting product out the door. Supervisors do a lot of yelling at the employees and do not recognize them for the work they do.
not secure place to work. No recognition. Safety concerns.
Although the drive is long and so are the shifts the work environment is fun and so are the people there. You may spend a lot of time either walking around fulfilling orders or standing in one place packing orders but the good new is that you will usually be around some great people who are fun to work with.
This place is awful.. hours, pay , management. You are a disposable tool at Thrive market. They talk big, act like they care... BS. My family works here we all hate it. Everyone , except the few that management has on the floor watching and telling you what the company brain washes you with.. almost cult like. If you question one of the ever changing rules you are shunned. Treatment of employees is the worst I have ever seen. They have a ping pong table corn hole crates and a Foosball table .. no time or energy for those .. not really sure why they are in the way even. Do Not apply here... this job will hurt your ability to have a life... people are leaving rapidly .. My family has been lucky but many are not, older workers are not wanted here. We see them worked so hard they leave, or wrote up for being slow or Too Social. If you have no choice but to apply here inbound only,, we have it the best, picking is the worst don't even do that. They hire outside and do not promote inside change .. unless you are connected to upper management, friend ect.
paid lunch but you still have to clock in and out in the 30 min time frame
hours, walking and pushing and pulling never stops, goals for picking / packing

Every manager or supervisor are not nice, that lack any human empathy and do not know how to run a factory. They'll work you and work you until your injured and then fire you for some other reason they made up.

This place is a joke this should be a last-ditch effort to get a job if you want to work here or if you're young and living with your parents get a job here other than that don't even think about wasting your time with them
Every weekend mandatory overtime, poor management, incredibly low pay

The worst thing about Thrive is the management, it’s awful. They lack communication with employees, change fixed overtime schedules too often, and disregard everything that is said to them when it comes to making improvements within the building. 3 Head management positions (1 was a transfer and 2 were fired) have been refilled in my time there as well as quite a few on the floor lead/supervisor positions. They go through people QUICKLY in salary as well as hourly positions. The work itself is easy and fast paced and most catch on quickly. The building gets very hot in the summer and they won’t add more fans to locations that don’t receive airflow. They understand that their turn over rate is so high and I don’t think they want to do anything to fix it. It’s easy to get a job here quickly, and full time + benefits. The job does have its perks, but the decisions that management makes with zero regard for their employees is what causing a lot of long time workers to walk out the door and find someone that pays more than $13 an hour. They also do not hire into the weekday-day shift.
