Poor management, challenging clients and staff, and difficult environment. Really takes a special kind of person to push through these challenges and truly help the patient and not get overwhelmed by everything else. If you connect with your coworkers you will have more success since they will have your back but do not expect to get help from management too much everyone is overworked and stressed therefore your concerns seem irrelevant and rarely get addressed or fixed.

Management is non-existent. Administration only cares about keeping census high and does not care about employee wellness at all. I would never recommend anyone work here. I stayed for 6 months and had to leave. I voiced concerns to management and admin and nothing was ever done about it.

I have worked at TK in several capacities, as many have. It is fulfilling to be able to be recognized for your abilities and hard work through promotions and to also see your colleagues having similar experiences. The facility has done a great job managing COVID, and stepped up to each unique challenge that was brought forward navigating these tough times. It has definitely been stressful, but the people who are succeeding are focused on team-work, supporting one another, and bringing ideas to the table. COVID aside, I have enjoyed my years working here and all of the experience I've gained, wonderful co-workers that I've had, and the great recovery stories of our alum. The hardest part of the job is that it's mental health - it's not quite as black and white as people want it to be. No day is going to be the same, nobodies treatment is going to be the same, and staff are going to see and hear things that are very hard to see and hear. I feel like my supervisors support me and value my opinions and ideas. The current CEO has been here for over a year and a half and is extremely dedicated to TK and has an open door policy for the staff. I don't think people realize how much passion she has to see this place be successful and for the staff and residents alike to have great experiences Trying to navigate through a huge pandemic shortly after starting and building the trust from a facility that once had very rapid CEO turnover does not sound like an easy spot to be in, but I believe that she will be in it for the long haul. My one recommendation to anyone thinking about working at TK or in mental health in general - make sure that you also have a therapist, even if it's just for an occasional session to process those tougher days. We need to take care of ourselves so we can show up every day for our residents while also being able to make sure that we are living our best life too.

I loved my coworkers and the purpose of my job but the overall management and lack of support were awful. My coworkers often would be crying during their shifts and stress levels were on a constant high. It truly felt like no one cared about you or the residents. All the higher-ups care about is money and that truly showed while working during Covid.

This is a great place to work. The company greatly cares about its employees and as a result, delivers outstanding care to its patients. I highly recommend this company if it is the field you are interested in.
