Management

Although I’ve recently left, TCG was a great place where I learned a tremendous amount about the HVACR industry. Things that I will take forward with me and build off of for the future. They will work with you for days off needed, if you need to leave early for a dr visit or to get your child from school if they’re sick. The HR manager is amazing. Makes you feel like your problems are her number 1 priority. I can’t speak highly enough about her!!! It’s a growing company and I wish the owners and everyone else the best.

Pros

Medium size company with a mom and pop feel. Owners are always present.

Cons

No place is perfect but I’m not going to list flaws as all companies have them.

The company embodies their core values daily. The environment is very collaborative and supportive. Everyone works as a team and is available to help one another. Ideas are encouraged and truly evaluated. Management has an open-door policy. Everyone works hard from the top down.

Great management and coworkers

This place is great to work at. They do have certain rules that need to be followed and are very strict with them. Management is very laid back and does not bother you as long as you do your job.

What is the best part of working at the company?Moving on from this company is the best thing that happened to me. They go around stabbing co workers in the back What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Dealing with the toxic environment and managers who have no experience in the HVAC field but are allowed to become managers What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Toxic and if you are not busy busy with the owner are higher up management, you will get let go eventually. bad company, terrible training, zero support

Bad/non existant training. System is old and outdated. No support from uppers. Work not discussed as job requirement thrown at you daily. When you are struggling and when you tell them about it. They just don't care and ask you to continue working. They don't even care about your MENTAL HEALTH. There are no long term workers here and the numerous toxic traits from owners and management are the reason why.

Horrible management. Rubbish culture ie you can sit next to people who wont even talk or introduce themselves for over a year, management and owners included. Silo'd business structure with too much micromanagement.Shady business practices.Management cannot agree on anything. Management plays favorites.

Cult like leader and followers. Senior management just riding out and vesting. Ranks filled with B players who think they are A players. Major politics hard to accomplish anything. You are told different processes and no set process in place. Chaos central

this company does not appreciate their employees. employees are disposable and there are no long term employees here. the revolving door does not stop turning, very high turn over rate for a small company, due to bad management and owners. they cannot even keep an hr manager onboard, which says a lot.

In a world where hybrid is the new norm, this company makes you come in to work every day. If they really cared about their employees they would let you work from home so that there would be a work/life balance. Like the others say, this company drains you and does not care about you or your opinions.

Quiet Quitting is About BAD Bosses, not BAD Employees

I would 100% recommend quiet quitting in this work place. Management takes advantage of its employees and makes you feel that you have to work after hours. The work environment created here will spill into your personal life, and its simply not worth your time or effort. They do not appeciate their employees here, and abuse them. Owners have group chats on 'teams' talking bad about employees.

I enjoyed my time at TCG and learned a lot. My upper management was great-helpful-and caring. During my time working there I rarely left on-time, mandatory on-call and overtime but I believe that has been rectified. Benefits aren't great, HR wasn't the best.. but again these are things that are easily fixable. As far as my work environment went-I enjoyed it and was able to make the most of my time there and was able to leave with more knowledge under my belt then I started with. I hope they continue to make the necessary changes to create the great work/life balance they can achieve.

Employees not appreciated

It’s a very bad company to work for, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to apply, and work there at all. I know during this COVID times, it might seem hard to get a job, but trust me there are far much better companies out there to work for. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had, working for this company.
