Lots of opportunities to make great money, takes a lot of work to get there
Sales Team Leader (Current Employee) - Chicago, IL - November 29, 2023
TQL is a place where you can make unlimited commission and that is not an exaggeration. The culture is great but you have to have a win at all costs mentality. Its not a 9-5 job and your work life balance will suffer a little bit.
Pros
Money, Culture
Cons
Work life balance, Stability

Productive and great environment
Logistics Account Executive (Current Employee) - Milwaukee, WI - November 28, 2023
A typical day for someone in my position is making check calls covering loads. I believe i learned a lot from being here for example, this is the type of job where what you put in is what you are going to get out, and that is why i love working for TQL.
Pros
the people

Productive workplace and cool co workers
LTL Representative (Current Employee) - Atlanta, GA - November 27, 2023
A typical day at work is busy, I learn different things about my position every day. Management is cool, the workplace culture is fun. The hardest part of the job is the long hours and consistency needed to be successful.
Pros
company gatherings, 95% promotions are internal, and money potential
Cons
long hours

Misleading recruitment
Logistics Coordinator (Current Employee) - Irving, TX - November 27, 2023
Lied about commission, you won’t see a dime extra for at least 6 months of grinding 4AM and 100+ cold calls a day. Enjoy some loud music while you’re at it

Great coaching, great structure, just requires your own discipline and desire to succeed.
Sales Team Leader (Current Employee) - Tucson, AZ - November 27, 2023
I've been here 9 years and worked in several locations. If you're an A-player and you need to move, or want to leave your home state - no problem. My time here is proof of that. For a veteran salesperson, the training might seem drawn out but it's not the sales we teach new account execs, it's the industry experience that makes training take 6 months. I've seen guys and gals come in from other sales jobs that appreciate the structure and black & whiteness of commission and pay structure. I've seen college grads come in that love the coaching and investment in employees. The people I've seen come in that haven't succeeded? Green kids who don't want to get serious yet, or want to but just haven't developed the discipline to be consistent enough to sell. The veteran salespeople who aren't willing to learn the industry from someone who has developed a consistent book. Young, old, no sales experience, years of sales experience, three things stand out about people I've seen succeed; Ownership of your work, Availability, and excellent communication. Anyone can do this job, it's just not the right fit for everyone. I sold insurance before working for TQL and loved sales but insurance sales was really dry and I loved how invested everyone was at TQL. I wanted to be somewhere everyone was bought in.
Pros
Commission/Pay is black & white, ability to work out of other offices if/when needed (including visiting the family for the holidays), and real opportunity for advancement.
Cons
You'll have a life, but we do occasionally answer the phone after hours when customers have a question or need an update, so it's a small price to pay.

Logistics Account Executive Trainee (Current Employee) - Grand Rapids, MI - November 27, 2023
A typical day at work will include handling the day-to-day tasks of a logistics broker which can include a multitude of varying tasks. Each day can and typically will look different in regard to the tasks accomplished or who you may connect with. This is a very exciting job that gives the opportunity to build a career.

Great work environment, niche market
Logistics Account Executive (Former Employee) - Denver, CO - November 26, 2023
Office culture, co-workers, and management are all top notch in my experience, but your experience will vary depending on what sales team you get put on. This is not the job for you unless you have an intense passion for sales (cold calling specifically) and/or an incredible interest in the logistics industry.

Okay
Decent place to work if your numbers are good, if not, they treat you like a number not a person. This is pretty normal here, its cut throat, say you can make a lot of money, which you can, but if you want time off and a family- it may be more challenging for you

Productive and Fast Paced Work Enviorment
Logistics Account Executive (Current Employee) - Daytona Beach, FL - November 21, 2023
TQL has an amazing training program here and gets you ready to grow your own book of business. A typical day during training is assisting an established book of business, while slowly building yours along the way. The managers truly care, and everyone gets a fair shot when they are here. The culture is fast paced and fun with a lot of energy when you are with your peers. The Job can be demanding and sometimes you may have to put in afterhours or weekend work, but the payoff when established and your ability to grow more make all the work that you put in worth it.
Pros
Opportunity for Growth, Fast Paced Work Environment, Fun Team Culture, Good Training Program for Entry Level Employees, Not Monotonous - something new every day
Cons
Demanding Job, takes time to get established, Weekend Shifts Required, Some After Hours Work
