A typical day consists of getting the residents up in the morning, bathing, dressing, and taking them down to breakfast. After breakfast you take them to the common area where there is a tv or crafts are done. exercising classes are also offered. in-between that time you are cleaning up their bedroom and making beds. restroom breaks happen often where you assist them and clean them up after. during lunch time you help other CNAs feed the residents that arent capable to do it on their own. At the end of your shift you have to chart everything that happened throughout the day with each resident. I have learned a lot at the job like taking care of people and having more respect for CNAs. The co-workers are great and are there to help you out when you need it. the hardest part of the job is gaining strength to lift the patients and also having patience. the most enjoyable part is being able to help someone that is unable to do it themselves.
