Formulations Research Associate (Former Employee) – Pearl River, NY – January 17, 2018
I was a contract formulation research associate on assignment at Pfizer Inc. the sign on process had a lot to do once they found me a job but after that i rarely spoke with anyone from Townsend except to send in my time sheet and only interacted with the other employees at Pfizer.
Contractor (Former Employee) – Groton, CT – April 18, 2017
I have been in touch with several Townsend & Associates staff, most recently Lisa and Luisa in particular, and they are all very friendly and professional. They provided me with all the information and forms I needed in a timely manor and always responded to my e-mail questions. They are very helpful and available.
Legal Assistant (Former Employee) – Birmingham, AL – December 3, 2013
Assisted an attorney with pre-briefing clients, answering telephone calls, scheduling counseling sessions, filing motions, depositions & dispositions, contacting the courts and judges’ chambers, scheduling meetings/conference calls, and making travel arrangements.
Terrible place to work. The company is run out of more or less a small house turned into an office. The management is terrible and the boss has no idea what recruiting is or how the day to day is actually run within his company. There is no communication between the upstairs people and down stairs people (remember it is in a two story house literally). The workload is far too much for only a staff of two recruiters. More or less people don't even get jobs when they apply because they just want to build their database. Companies like Robert Half and Kelly Services are much more professional and do not have a staff that consists of 2 recruiters. The management is very unprofessional and disrespectful. There is a very high turn over rate of employees with people coming and going because of the chaos and toxic environment. It was a miserable place to be on a daily basis. I would not recommend it to any future employee or to anyone using them to get a job.
Honestly none they make the small office atmosphere feel like an elementary school playground
Townsend and Associates is a smaller recruiting firm so you get some more personal attention and interaction. However as you might expect, there are some tools not available, like a web based time keeping system. I was placed with Pfizer in Collegeville, PA - a world renown company where you will be provided with all the resources you need to work. The people were nice, and hard working but is was a very political place to work and lacked any real sense of culture or atmosphere, it was a very impersonal place to work. A big factor in what was probably the fact that I was a contractor, which makes the experience of working for the company dramatically different then if you are a full time employee.
great facility, all needed resources for work provided up front
poor compensation, no culture or atmosphere, not a nice place to work as a contractor
