Productive and fast paced
Team Member (Former Employee) - Georgetown, KY - February 10, 2019
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedEven though it was hot in the summers and cold in the winters, it was a great place to work. They recycle EVERYTHING and really care about their employees.
Pros
good pay
Cons
not enough "off time" for new employees

No work-life balance, management treats you awful, everyone is miserable and waiting for retirement
Team Member (Former Employee) - Brantford, ON - August 19, 2023
When the bell rings you work, and you don’t stop. If you love to ask to go to the bathroom and love to never have time to drink water then Toyota is for you. If you love management pushing the boundaries as much as they can and stepping all over you, well then Toyota is for you. If you love long hours of repetitive work and forced overtime, never seeing your family… well then Toyota is for you. Hardest part of the job was the long hours and shift work, also being in a contract for 3 plus years is horrid as well, best part was pay day.
Pros
Pay, and sometimes the people you work with
Cons
Long hours, forced overtime, bad management.

No work life balance / Bureaucratic nightmare
Contract team member (Current Employee) - Woodstock, ON - July 5, 2023
Management is so incredibly removed from reality and makes their own rules and if you challenge them on it you will be written up for behaviour Everything has to be approved by multiple levels of people so getting anywhere with anything is impossibly slow and often times in vain. There is NO work life balance We are often are told it is our fault that morale is low and if we just did better we would be happier

Toxic work environment
Team Member (Current Employee) - Woodstock, ON - April 18, 2023
Would not recommend for anyone!!! So beware! Safety and common sense plays a back seat to production. There is no unity and despite what some may say, don’t be fooled. No one will have your back and management encourages individualism. You will work your tail off with little to no reward.

Decent pay, terrible management
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - January 5, 2023
I'll start with the good: the pay. Next, the bad: everything else. Long hours, rotating shift work (terrible for your body), management doesn't seem to understand the concept of basic human needs and functions. If they could legally treat you worse, I have no doubt that they would. If all you care about is money then you'll enjoy it here. Good luck having a life or family though #toyotacares

Not worth the pay
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - November 17, 2022
This job is extremely difficult and will leave you with physical discomfort and paint in both joints and muscles. While on assembly, you will work on one car doing one process every minute. It is a job that is very difficult to keep up with the demand. Management has poor attitudes and needing to use the washroom is frowned upon.

Terrible and very toxic work environment
Team Member (Former Employee) - Woodstock, ON - October 26, 2022
I have honestly told many people who asked me about applying to TMMC to look for something else. TMMC is going downhill fast. Terrible place to work. Very toxic environment. Bunch of clowns running the place. Go figure. Im pretty sure they'd hire a bum off the street because they can't keep people from leaving. Run the other way. Trust me.
Pros
Absolutely nothing
Cons
Hahaha

Overworked and underpaid
Conveyance Materials Team Member (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - August 19, 2022
Terrible hours, they change them on the fly. Poor management, terrible pay structure, no dental until you aren’t a contract employee (3+ years). I wouldn’t wish that place on anyone. I wasted 3 years of my life there.

Great co workers and company culture
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - August 17, 2022
Treated very well by management. Fantastic communication about expectations as well as kudos for jobs well done. The job is repetitive and some of the tasks are difficult, but overall it’s very rewarding.

Make sure you are a favorite!
TEAM MEMBER (Former Employee) - Woodstock, ON - June 22, 2022
Favoritism is huge that the Toyota plants. If you are not one of the favorites be prepared to get treated like you are trash. The pay scale is a disgrace. You are forced to work overtime. If you get hurt they send you to the Toyota doctor in the plant that will tell you nothing is wrong and send you back to the line. I have life long injuries from this place and nobody ever took me seriously. Goto cami.

Long hours, hot facility
Team Member (Former Employee) - Woodstock, ON - June 22, 2022
Facility is hot, employer doesn’t leave fans on during breaks or down time so when you come in it’s just hotter the heck. Management can be a hit and miss, most GLs are there to make more money and will believe TLs over TMs over issues. For example: quality issue I flagged & TL ignored, GL got notified It was missed, TL knew exactly when it was and instead of saying something he tried to throw me under the bus. Always write down the car number of defects so it doesn’t come back to haunt you. Don’t trust easily.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Hours, lack of benefits until full time which can take a couple years

Very poor environment!
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - June 20, 2022
They try to promote a “team” environment and we are far from that. It’s everyone out for themselves and it’s all purposely done by management to keep a union out. Poor communication and lack of respect for employees.

tedious and repetitive workplace
Team Member (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - April 2, 2022
- some of the assembly lines and even jobs on the same line are relatively more stressful than the others, so it depends on what line they place you and its going to be a while till your body fully adjusts to it - work life balance is quite horrible with extreme shift timings, 9.5 hrs in day shift and 10 hrs in night shift, but as of now 9 hrs each for both due to part shortage- management is quite strict when it comes to quality and work ethics and will take corrective action immediately after just one warning, usually a sign form is filled out- coworkers/ team leaders can or cannot be supportive depending on what line they place, often some of them act quite snitch, so take precautions until you fully know the person -cafeteria has a bit of variety in food but I've personally never liked the items they cook/sell - the pay rate is the only good part but it takes 8 years to become full time
Pros
decent pay, overtime
Cons
bad work life balance, stressful work, strict management and work expectations

Good enough for some people
Team Member (Current Employee) - Woodstock, ON - March 23, 2022
A great place for people to make a comfortable living having no post secondary education. Even met many people with University degrees who chose to work there instead because the money was better. Shift work isn't for everyone. The work is monotonous, which isn't for everyone. Management is very focused on outputting more at the expense of its workers. Despite that, many people I've met said they stay because of the money and the people.

It's factory work...
Team Member (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - March 12, 2022
It was ok. I didn't really like the shift work, job was mind numbing, management was so-so. Some strange people there, but also some great ones too. Overall, wasn't for me.

Stressful
Team Member (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - March 3, 2022
Fast paced and stressful job environment. The management was very strict and gave no flexibility. Team members are treated like robots and the work is very hard on the body.

I hate this job
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - February 26, 2022
Unless your 100% mentally stable do not work here. Mind numbing repetitive work. Management power trips. You will have no life working here. The interview process was so intense for absolutely no reason, was sweating at the end of it. Only pro is the pay. As contract you have only 5 vacation days a year and can only call in 6 times a year or you get written up without a doctor note. I highly recommend not working here.

Run
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - January 28, 2022
The toxic environment is soul crushing, you sign your soul away to your job. Orientation makes TMMC look like it's an amazing place to work and I was very excited to start my job here, but once I started working I realized this is worse than anything I could have ever imagined and had myself thinking everyday how did I end up here? Management is awful and lacks respect to team members, you will be treated very poorly. Harrasment is a daily occurrence which HR and management ignores. It's like your back in high-school group leaders/team leaders and team members all have cliques with one another. The unsettling gossip and drama runs rampant in this factory. Your job is on the line everyday as you have absolutely no job security until 3 years when you get hired on full time. Your two 15 minute breaks is really 5 minutes, by the time you wait in line to use the washroom there is no time to eat until your lunch break. TMMC is a revolving door they cannot keep employees anymore. Rotating shifts and mandatory over time, 10 hours on nights 9 hours on days is diminishing to you physically. Very horrible job rotations as management gives favoritism to there friends. You have no time for your family. If you love your family, value your physical and mental health and longevity, do yourself a favor and apply elsewhere.
Pros
Running out the door end of shift
Cons
Toxic, management, long hours, treated poorly, favoritism, stressful, mentally and physically draining, harassment, no job security

No Hope
Team Member (Former Employee) - Woodstock, ON - August 8, 2021
Talk to anyone here over 10 years, no chance to post anywhere , stuck in the same area the whole time, Don't be fooled morale for full time workers is horrible. Managers don't care bottom line they leave people in preferred areas for life while the rest are stuck online with no options to move anywhere. Horrible on the body!! Managers determine what's a preferred job is not the Team member doing the Job..

Awful
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - August 1, 2021
Team leaders think they are God's, treat new team members with little to no respect and act like because they have worked there for years they need to be bowed to. Management are a joke and do nothing for their staff. It's always a game of he said she said and many team members are un happy. It's a terrible environment
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, family is non existant, poor treatment by managment
