One Less Hog at the Trough
Written by Production Artist/Graphic Designer (Former Employee) from Gardner, KS on October 23, 2017
The good:

This job allowed me to develop very basic production art skills and increase the speed at which I worked and checked order artwork for errors. Coworkers were enjoyable for the most part. Good ideas, but poor or little execution.

The bad:

Low morale. Vapid work environment. No branding guidelines from a graphics standpoint (ridiculous - more ... for a company that's been around for 30 years). The marketing department was dissolved shortly before I left, leaving all subsequent collateral/promotions to be inconsistent in look and feel, depending solely on the owner's whim.

On one such ... - less
ProsOpportunity for overtime, if workload allowed (volunteer-based), Coworkers
ConsMandatory overtime, Inconsistency, Management, No room for advancement, Low morale
