Supervisor/Manager (Current Employee) – Buffalo, NY – June 14, 2018
I have been promoted several times while at TSI. It is a great place to work: generous benefits, good work/life balance, frequent training, and opportunity for advancement. It isn't easy work, but it's rewarding and worth it. If you work hard, care about the clients, and are open to growth, this place is for you. You can make a career - not just have a job. I've noticed slackers don't like it here, or those who are too rigid and don't "play well with others."
Payroll Manager (Former Employee) – Homestead, PA – February 9, 2017
It used to be a great place to work - it has been without a CEO or proper leadership for over a year. It is in the process of getting rid of all of the long term employees. Your options are to retire or get fired
A great opportunity to make a difference in people's lives
Counselor (Current Employee) – Buffalo, NY – September 27, 2015
My job includes a lot of paperwork and scheduling and attending various medical and psychiatric appointments. I gained a lot of knowledge on mental illnesses and how to provide crisis intervention. I have had the privilege to work with wonderful people during my time at this agency.
Direct Support Professional (Former Employee) – Bloomington IN – December 8, 2014
The Bloomington Indiana TSI, Mentor Network Supported Living agency is a "snakepit" of an office environment. If you have any intelligence at all, stay away from this place. They prefer to hire people that will be a warm body, and keep their mouths shut about NEGLECT the agency is engaging in concerning not meeting clients needs. They provide no support at all for their Direct Support Professionals. When DSP's have difficulties dealing with daily needs of clients, they are blown off or ignored, or told they 'are dealing with whatever the issue is and guess what?......MONTHS GO BY AND THE CLIENTS STILL DON'T HAVE WHAT THEY NEED!! Management will sabotage and undermine anyone who doesn't take the psychological abuse they dish out. By this, I mean management ignoring clients needs such as them having food stamps and clean laundry. They say they will take care of these issues, but in my short time there, it never happened. NO FOLLOW THROUGH AT AL WITH THIS AGENCY! Management told one of my clients she 'had money' to buy a washer and dryer, but then the next week, the money somehow got reduced leave her with little spending money. The woman (client) needs a wheelchair!, but TSI keeps telling her she has too many other wheel chairs she cant use! DSP's are constantly stressed out not having the facilities/tools they need to take care of clients. They take complete advantage of good staff by overworking and underpaying them, but DO NOT try and stand up for the rights of clients or yourself and expect this company to treat you with respect. They will walk all over you andmore... find anything to fire you over just to get rid of a 'whistleblower'. If you know anyone with a disabled adult or child in need of Residential Services, DO NOT SELECT THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE A COMPLETE JOKE!! I would not leave most staff in charge of a cat, let alone a disabled adult or child!less
you can wear your own clothes to this job
everything else is a con & I do mean "con" disabled people out of their $
