Good job but you had to be on top of your schedule to get a set schedule in a way and they usually don't give set schedules so it was hard for me because I am a student and annoying because you wouldn't get the hours you want but manager and supervisor were nice I love them to pieces ..

TERRIBLE Company... it's not worth working here.
Sales Supervisor (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJuly 29, 2018
I worked as a Supervisor and it is not worth working for Travel Traders, first of all you are on your own, the area Manager will not help you even if you're in vacation or sick; supervisors are responsible for running the store... doing Purchase Orders, calling vendors, preparing the daily deposits and getting change for the associates. Weekly you have to go to the bank and the manager NEVER verifies or even helps with the deposits. If the supervisor is on vacation or sick, if there any orders to make even if they are concern... they won't do it. So if the stores looks empty, they take it on the supervisor even though is the managers responsibility. Basically Supervisor are the ones who run the stores with low payment, and the manager gets to have 50k salary which is totally unfair if you as supervisor are doing the job. If you are looking to grow professionally or get promoted, trust me this is not the place for you. There is no advancement in this company.

Horrible
Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Milwaukee, WIJune 14, 2018
Recommended for someone 18 with no responsibilities that can commit to a dead end job with little to no advancement, with a very high turnover rate, and horrible management.

Manager (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAOctober 16, 2017
As a MANAGER: This is a great job for someone who has no other obligations. You will learn a lot. The hotel environment is BEAUTIFUL. The guests are friendly and happy. Loved working with my immediate team.
HR is available at all times for any questions or support as well as other managers in the company.
UNFORTUNATELY, you will work weekends and holidays if you are a MANAGER. There is zero comp days off for working OT or major holidays. If someone calls out or is a no show you WILL be expected to get there by 7:00am even on your day off (Sunday's too). Unlike regular retail these stores are open 365 days a year including Thanksgiving & Christmas.
Expect your personal cell phone to ring all hours every day. Text messages and emails are also nonstop (this was the biggest con for me) You will have NO work/life balance.
* I recommend this company if you do NOT have family obligations. This is also a GREAT job if you are obsessively organized, LOVE paperwork, love kicking it old school with faxing everything & truly enjoy having your phone bursting with all the phone calls, texts & emails.
Pros
Hotels, contests, HR support, fellow managers in area
Cons
Emails, Phone calls, TEXTS even on days off, stress from every corporate dept

Travel traders is a great place to work at. You get 40 hours a week they work around your schedule and you get discounts. You have to go to work on time everyday and then people that works there are fun to work with.

Beware - Revolving Door
Area Manager/Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAApril 1, 2017
See the company's previous reviews under their original profile. They created a new one to avoid the truth about what it is like to work here. If i had not been desperate I would have said no to the offer.
Pros
Nice Hotels
