Kinda like your your own boss, flexibility, but not competitive in pay, love driving around and seeing mother nature, not dealing with a lot nurses
I would drive to a nursing facility, unload equipment, pick up my paperwork from the nurse in charge of the resident that I was there to x-ray, get help from a CNA usually, sometimes the nurse, in order to complete the exam, verify patient information out on the computer and send the patient image(s) to the Doctors for a reading. Go to next facility - more... and do it again. We could have more than one patient per facility. We had to write a daily tech log that required specific information on each patient. Scan all paperwork in during or at the end of our shift. A requisition by fax from our company ... - less
ProsMy own transport vehicle, work vehicle to drive, lunch/breaks whenever you want, over time, patients
ConsPart time, false complaints and ends up terminating their employees, no benefits, hours always switching around without appropriate notice, they can't keep people because of the way this company is ran.
