Triple Ring takes on the most difficult, science-dependent projects
Manager at Triple Ring Technologies (Current Employee) –  Newark, CAFebruary 24, 2018
Triple Ring is a great gig if you want to be challenged. The company is a mix of scientists and engineers, so most of the projects are for things that don't exist anywhere yet. At the sharp edge of technology, a company must hire the best, A-level people possible, so there are occasional skirmishes of egos. About a quarter of the team has PhDs. Employees or contractors who of average or below capability, or those who put personal gain before the company missions are generally routed out of the system eventually. The management is not as tightly structured as classical companies - it is structured in order to support a creative and vibrant team. The management team is highly educated and technically competent.
Working for TRT is not for everyone. If a candidate is looking to steadily do the same thing for years and years, it's a bad choice. If someone is looking for a job that will have a new product or project in front of them 2-4 times a year, this is a great match. Tasks are given to people as they are willing to accept or seek them.
Pros
Complicated tasks that require highly talented professionals
Cons
Not everyone is going to want to work at this pace.

Good people held back by poor management
Contractor (Former Employee) –  Newark, CANovember 27, 2017
Good research held back by petty and irresponsible management. Favoritism and fear of hiring people more talented than themselves promotes poor hiring and staff allocation decisions. Know for not paying their bills, especially to consultants, myself included
Pros
Free dinner three nights a week

Lack of structure and leadership; misleading information and promises made to employees; poor project management; poor benefits; bonuses promised but never paid out.
