extremely challenging work, High Stress, OK Work/Life balance
Technical Systems Analyst (Former Employee) –  Wilmington, NCDecember 27, 2017
The original company (Visionair) was a moderately successful software startup that struggled with financial difficulties in a highly competitive Public Safety industry. The most enjoyable part of the job was providing highly effective customer service and technical support to all customers, regardless of the size of the agency or amount of money they spent.

After the TriTech acquisition of the company, a new initiative was adopted. The company applied the highest amount of resources to the larger agencies that were willing to be a reference company for other business opportunities. Much of the original staff with years of experience either left the company or had their positions terminated. The company began to become a major player in the industry and enjoyed much success beating out the competitors for new contracts. As the workload increased, resources allocated to customer service of all agencies was greatly reduced. Management was more concerned with growth, development and profitability. Management refused to listen to its employees and customer service and support were greatly diminished for all but a few of the higher paying agencies. The company had lost the soul of what made them a great company and continues on a path to greater profitability for the investors, with less care about what made the company a great place to work in the first place. Unfortunately the greatest losers are the agencies which continue to provide the Public Safety services which protect all of us in our everyday lives.
Pros
Free lunches, employee activites, great people to work with
Cons
High stress, increased workload, bad management decisions, insufficient resources to support agencies.

Company was in an acquisition/growth mode at the time. Struggled with acquisitions of new technologies and new products in the vertical. Was solid in CAD deliverables.

Software Engineer (Current Employee) –  Hillsboro, ORMarch 23, 2016
It is a software company that wants managers who are not burdened with having to know their own product. They treat software engineers like day laborers.

Tritech Software Systems is in the process of purchasing a lot of companies. The companies that it purchases they do away with software the company they bought develops. So they can then let go a lot of the employees and free up money so they can purchase another company.

Laid back environment that has a lot of entry level positions. Not much room for advancement though. A Christian company.
