Manager in weld department
Material Handler (Former Employee) –  Swanton, OHNovember 7, 2018
The manager in the area got in my face alot. He didn't know what he was doing half the time and I was only there for 2 years. Didn't like it when I corrected him. Other than that I enjoyed my job there defiantly would have stayed if he didn't work there. I stated that in my interview when I left.

Building JetPorters for Tronair.
Mechanic II (Current Employee) –  Toledo, OHOctober 27, 2018
Poor inventory practices combined with dismal scheduling creates situations where there are part shortages of both manufactured and purchased parts. This creates situations where machines are not able to be completed and then the shortage parts are forced through the system (manufactured and purchased) and show up at the end of the month. Thus forced overtime at the end of the month to attempt to get the scheduled machines completed.
Some management use favoritism in relations with some employees based on outside relationships. People are promoted based on whether they will further the careers of those above them, not on their job performance or abilities.

Not a good place to work
Machinist (Current Employee) –  Holland, OHSeptember 14, 2018
Very stressful. Mostly complaining. Upper management are major idiots. No direction whatsoever. Most people are completely lost with no idea what's going on. Everyone makes up their own hours and ideas. No help when needed. People wander aimlessly and can rarely find a supervisor or person in charge. Employees are promised lots of things and never see those happen. Pay rate here is messed up. People who don't know what they're doing get paid more than people with lots of experience and the people with lots of experience have to train the people who make more than them.
I don't see this company even being around in a year.

As in most places - Key players are not aware of the relationship between different upper management people. Creates poor communication and a lack of awareness on the true desired direction of the company.

Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  Holland, OHApril 4, 2018
Not much room for the employee to advance. Plenty of overtime to work. The pay is average at best. The turnover is terrible constantly changing personnel and management.

Shipping Department (Former Employee) –  Holland, OHFebruary 1, 2018
Management is great; hands on, vocal and in-tune with all operations of the company. It is fast moving all day, every day. Never a dull moment. All the employees were great to work with too. No issues with fighting or anything like that. Everyone works as a well oiled team, but everyone must keep up & do their job to keep everything moving properly. Overall great place to work!

Tronair Employee (Current Employee) –  Holland, OHOctober 31, 2017
As a current employee for 10+ years I have experienced substantial growth with the company, and while at times that can create pains, my overall experience with Tronair has been positive.

I enjoy the challenges my job brings and am grateful for the continued opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Hard work and ownership is recognized and rewarded. Tronair believes that taking care of their employees is essential to the success of the company.

Tronair offers several benefits that many companies can not compete with:
401K
Health/dental/vision
Paid vacation
Tuition reimbursement - which I've personally taken advantage of
Boots/safety glasses
Quarterly luncheons/Company picnics
Pros
401K/ health benefits, paid time off, rewards/recognition
Cons
At times high stress, fast pace

Good working environment that allows you to share ideas and foster creative thinking. Flexible with necessary time off as family requires. Managers take an interest in seeing their teams succeed.

Tronair gives you opportunities to learn and improve your skill set. If you want to be challenged this is a great company for you. New office and manufacturing opening early in 2018, which everyone is very excited about. State of the art facility.
Pros
Company events, good management, flexible schedule, plenty of opportunities

A private equity owned company that has good products
OPERATIONS MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Toledo, OHJuly 6, 2017
A very competent growth minded (ebitda $'s) management team but one that often likes to micro manage. Great products and market share. The shape of the building is weird, its "m" shaped and is 60 ft wide throughout.
Pros
Growth minded competent leadership team
Cons
Paranoid about ebitda $ growth, the holy grail of private equity

Can only speak for my department but great managers! Trust team to complete work without looking over shoulders w/ many learning opportunities! Has been flexible with necessary time off, great pay! Company has many luncheons and has even brought in an ice cream truck for employees to get free ice cream on hot days. Management takes an interest in seeing their teams succeed.

Not such a good place to work
Welder (Former Employee) –  Holland, OHApril 15, 2017
They tell you this is ok or what to do, then turn around and say it's NOT ok and what you're doing is not good enough. Management gets annoyed when new employees ask questions to verify and confirm their way of doing things.
A typical day of work includes making the same items over and over.

I learned that even though some employees can be unprofessional, it is frowned upon to joke back with them.

Management don't care as long as you leave them alone.

The hardest part of the job is reading the minds of management and deciding if they are going to fire you or not for their own misgivings.
Pros
Going home after work
Cons
being ignored at work until they need something to complaain about
