Stressful and fast-paced, typically understaffed and usually impossible to take a break on 8 hour shifts. Pay begins at minimum wage and you won't make more than 9$ unless you become a shift manager.
My manager was absolutely phenomenal. Thanks to him he made our enviorment as positive and fun as possible. Other cafes dont have this luxury though and the only reason my cafe ran so well was because of my manager otherwise i would have left a long time ago
It can be hectic. If you are on smoothie line by yourself during a rush, it's tiring. Some coworkers will always get you to do smoothies so they dont have to.
Very positive and enjoyable.

Can be crowded at some points. Most people just stand around

It is an upbeat environment. There is room for advancement (at least at my location) and I loved it there.

Tense. And if management didn't like you or felt threatened by something that you were doing they wouldn't give you hours or out you doing grunt work. Lots of favoritism.
