A great place to work, but a little lost in the weeds
Sales Operations Manager (Current Employee) –  Seattle, WAJune 19, 2017
True Brands is really a great place to work overall. The company needs to find a way to better develop their new employees and keep them moving on a clear career path. We have seen some truly fascinating growth, but have been struggling lately to build the proper leadership, on boarding, and development to fully capitalize on that growth. Most of this runs all the way up to the President and Owner who does not have very strong leadership skills and is stubborn in his ways of disorganization and quick "scrappy" moves that don't work as well when you entire teams need to be able to shift their focus (from a different scrappy move) at a moment's notice to get it done.
Pros
The employees, managers, benefits are all awesome
Cons
Needs refined process, lack of company direction, lack of mission statement that guides business decissions

Fun place to work
Product Development & Brand Manager (Current Employee) –  Seattle, WAMay 16, 2017
There is always more than enough work to do, and at times it can be very stressful. This is the first and only company a lot of the employees have worked for, including most of the managers which can cause some frustrations.

BUT the work/life balance can be great. The HR team does an amazing job at trying to schedule fun, company events. Everything from free donuts occasionally to a yearly company trip!
Pros
Dog friendly office, great people
Cons
Not a lot of experience in leadership

Love the culture, great encouragement
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Seattle, WAMay 2, 2017
It was a great place for encouraged growth. It had a really good culture and everyone is so amazing to work with.

That being said, I left the company because although there was room for career advancement, their compensation was not very high and it motivated me to move out and continue my education for better career opportunities.

Comp is good, that`s about it
Product Development (Current Employee) –  Fremont, WAJuly 5, 2016
There is very little structure and communication between departments is poor. This makes being effective in ones role very challenging.

Base comp is ok but bonuses tend not to get paid to people outside of the sales department. This is because, outside the sales department, bonuses are based on profitability.
