You work for "the house" when you work with a major processor - meaning the processor makes the most revenue; the compensation plans are designed for the rep to get less and less and the processor to make more of what is now a slimmer cut of the revenue pie; publicly traded you know upper management is mostly making decisions and policy to help the stock holders, board room and their own compensation plans more lucrative .
