Our Story

What deals have we not found? Since 1974, we’ve asked that question then put the answers on our shelves. In 1974, Tuesday Morning founder Lloyd Ross was working with big-name manufacturers when he had an idea. These big brands always had leftover inventory and nothing to do with it. So Lloyd bought their excess merchandise and decided to host the world’s greatest garage sale in a warehouse in Dallas on a Tuesday morning. Why then? Because he believed it was the first positive part of the week. At the first Tuesday Morning sale, there were so many high-quality, discounted products that some people came in looking for one great deal and left with a dozen. But the real fun was how excited everyone was about the things they found. Soon vendors began looking to us as the go-to resource for closeout merchandise. Though we’ve grown far beyond our garage sale beginnings, a few things remain the same. Our expert buyers search the world for deals you’ll love to bring home. We make high-quality and name brands affordable. We look for unbeatable finds and once we've found them, we offer those upscale, closeout products at ridiculously low prices. And, like you, we still celebrate every incredible deal we discover.

Stores

Our stores are strategically located in more than 200 markets and across 40 states so that it's not hard for our customers to find a store near them. We are a true closeout retailer, selling high-quality products at prices below those found in boutique, specialty and department stores. Our customers come to us for an exceptional assortment of brand names at great prices. Our primary merchandise mix includes luxury home textiles, home furnishings, housewares, and seasonal décor. Each store is filled with people who are excited to help our guests find that perfect deal and create a memorable shopping experience. Our associates and our deals are the reasons that for over 45 years, our guests keep coming back to our stores.  Benefits Benefits for store associates vary based on status and job classification. Distribution

Our distribution network spans both Dallas, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona where our team of over 600 associates processes millions of cartons, boxes and pieces per year. Our dynamic, fast-paced environments provide opportunities in carefully receiving, processing and shipping our abundance of ridiculously good deals our buyers have found for our stores and our customers.
