It depends. How dependable are your coworkers? What kind of neighborhood is your store in? It gets busy multiple times a day. If someone calls off and no one takes their place it really screws the ones on for that shift. The pay isn't that good. You get free fountain drinks and coffee while on shift and store discounts for Kroger/ Turkey Hill advertised goods. You might meet some interesting people. There are many responsibilities for each clerk, your not just on a register all day/night. It's a stressful job and I'm only a part timer but I've been here for a year so I would know. My advice, if you go for the job, make sure you get it at a good store because they're not all the same
