Punishing work, but that's not the main problem
Written by Mover/Laborer (Former Employee) from Sterling, VA on July 4, 2018
The main problems I encountered where out of anyone's control (e.g underestimates, under manning, short tempers and extreme heat during the summer months) Other than that, while the pay was good, it was not enough to comfortably get by, and the additional hardships brought on by the job made the occasional tip seem well worth it, but don't except tips - more ... more than every other day. Also, you pay gets docked for damages. I went on 2 12 hour moves within a month of each other and my pay was docked both times and we where not tipped either time, either. - less
ProsReasonable pay for the type of job (though far from great)
ConsAggrieved work envornment and toxic relationships between coworkers, poor managment, general feeling of suckiness
