If you were in charge, what would you do to make TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® a better place to work?
I would not put up with unprofessional language and attitudes. I would not hire, and would fire people, who think they can do whatever they want to, and are confrontational. I would not tell employees that they cannot speak up against another employee being inappropriate, and I would back their rights, instead of backing backing the other party (like the managers did at the location that I was hired at). I would emphasize professionalism, and send surveys to the customers, in order to find out if they were happy with the service, and if my employees are being professional. I also would do better, in getting the employees trained as drivers in the time that they were told that it would happen. There would be no smoking in the trucks, and employees who smoke would have to pick up cigarette butts, if any are not put in an ash try, but they would have a designated smoking area, away from the office, not to bother others. I wouldn't want to give a bad impression to customers, either.

This would be a great question to ask during an interview to learn the schedule at that particular franchise. In addition to regular paychecks, our customers tend to be quite generous, and may tip in cash, food, or gifts for excellent service.

Each franchise is individually owned and operated, however most are flexible and can accommodate time off when requested in advance.
