You are required to have so many billable hours per day. At least in my section of ERP and Schools. Other areas like Munis, do not require you to have minute by minute details of your day.

Training. Right now, they believe in the sink or swim theory your Grandfather used before shoving you in the lake. You will either learn, or drown. Makes me think they do not care for me as a employee, rather just need a body. If they invested in me, I would feel as though I would want to invest my hard work right back into them.

Yes. Map reading, and had a lot to do with your communication skills, having to deal with a number of persons on a daily basis.
