Customers service Representative (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZJune 18, 2019
Overall it was a good place to work other than employees not showing up for work and you having to cover their shift and work duties. My boss was very very informative.
Pros
Most of the time you got to work outside.
Cons
Employees not being reliable and showing up for work

Part-time Customer Service Agent (Work from Home) (Former Employee) –  Waynesboro, GAJune 17, 2019
It was very easy assisting the customers with making their reservations. It’s a relaxed job and very easy to catch on to. You also get a pay upgrade every hour you book reservation.

U -haul rewards hard work and attendance. Decent place to work
Assembler (Current Employee) –  Tempe, AZJune 16, 2019
U-haul is a decent place to work and they do reward hard work and good attendance. Alot of people dont take their job seriously and miss alot of work and that does make other people have to work harder to pick up the slack.
The management is great and they work hard side by side with you and they do care about the people.
They give 2 weeks vacation after your first year which is great and give 6 sick days a year.Great benefits but fairly low pay but you can work your way up. U-haul does have a fairly high turnover rate so you are always working with new people but they do value and want to keep key employees who actually benefit the company.
They do give 7 paid holidays a year (if you are full time and not a moon lighter) Overall it's a good place to work and work your way up into something!!
Pros
Hard work is rewarded, free lunches on occasion, great hours and benefits
Cons
Low starting pay, high turnover.

Hitch Professional (Former Employee) –  Colorado Springs, COJune 15, 2019
Low pay alot of work, try to get you to do short shifts so you can work more days of the week without getting to 40. Full time employees only have one day off a week.
Cons
No breaks

E-Center Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Peoria, AZJune 15, 2019
Not too bad of a place to work, offers work from home which is nice. Trouble parking situation if you work at call center. Training is good, but working with some of the 3rd party U-Hauls can be difficult!

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Plano, TXJune 13, 2019
They don't care one bit about their employees. It's all about how much money they make. They are not concerned that their employees work enough hours to pay their bills.....It's a joke
Pros
Nothing
Cons
The entire job

Don't waste your time
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Sherwood, ORJune 12, 2019
Lack of proper leadership. Violations of EEO. Chain of command is all related even the Vice President of the district. Promise of advancement, cross training that is never compensated. Don't care about customers and don't take accountability for poor performance. Confidential information released to employees about personnel records. A class action lawsuit waiting to happen.
Pros
Flexible with attendance
Cons
No room for advancement

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Newport News, VAJune 12, 2019
The work environment is stressful due to coworkers, not customers, no upper management consistency, not a job I would recommend to anyone unless you are willing to work long hours with no breaks and no recognition
Cons
No breaks, long hours

Area Field Manager (Former Employee) –  Raleigh, NCJune 10, 2019
If you are a Area Field manager, you will be working almost all day every day. Customers will call you even in the middle of the night and are usually mad because they were not explained how renting works.

Awful, low end job entirely based on management's whim
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Carrollton, TXJune 8, 2019
Management of each store is very autonomous and the company as a whole doesn't care if management is bad. The job itself is fast paced and with high stress levels. There's too many classes to go through, and management tends to criticize rather than teach you the first time around.
Pros
None
Cons
Responsibility placed on associates, management not held accountable

Great place to work👍
Driver/ detail-Tech/ ect. (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXJune 8, 2019
Great place to work!! Friendly co-workers , unfortunately you start part time, but offer full time when openings are offerd..your treated like family, and rewarded with BBQs- dinning out at local restaurants ect., also company outings. The shop manager is one of a kind,. Gets his hands dirty, jumps in on equiptment repairs and very respectfull!!a person who cares and will go out of his way to help his employees with any issues...the starting pay is just enough to get by. But cant complain about the offer or respect you receive for your work, health benifits are offerd when hired on full time..hands on training is provided...so if your looking for x-tra income than i highly recommend applying.👍
Pros
Great place to work- paid bi-weekly !!
Cons
Working in all weather conditions..

Fun place to work if they have the right kind of management.
Area Field Manager (Former Employee) –  Elkton, FLJune 6, 2019
Uhaul is a great company to work for if the right kind of management is in place. The Area Field Manager and General Manager positions have the most turnover in the company. I worked six days a week may 14 hour days and was in the Area Field Manager position for over two years. Prior to me, there was five Area Field Managers in two years.
Pros
Freedom
Cons
Corporate America pressure to have more and more dealerships

Fill in GM- Marketing Comp. Storage Manager (Former Employee) –  Woodstock, GAJune 6, 2019
I recommend this company to a 20 year old or an elderly person who just wants a part time job. It’s a great company! It has been great to me! It’s not the most family friendly when it comes to hours though!
Pros
Amazing benefits!
Cons
Not family friendly for hours!
