When I started with US Bank 9 years ago, it was a Great place to work. I loved going to work and was always willing to go above and beyond for the company. We were treated like we were appreciate human beings, almost one big family. The company did a bunch of extra events, like cook outs, concerts on the lawn, and even hosted a Christmas Party for all employees plus guest. Then, the company grow rapidly and everything changed. They took away all the fun stuff, had you working mandatory overtime instead of hiring more staff, and people who didn't deserve to be in management were promoted to Supervisors, Managers, and even Vice Principles. It no longer was like family, it became about who you knew and not what you know. Management use to be only promoted from within, but now it's whom every upper management wants. If employees voice their opinions and management doesn't agree, they find a way to get Reed of you. Which is what happened to me!
After 8 1/2 years, was placed under new management. They didn't even give me an opportunity to show them what kind of an asset I am, they already made up their mind that they wanted me gone. They knit picked everything to the point that it was becoming unbearable to even come in to work. After 9 years, they let me go for no real reason. Even unemployment agreed I was wrongful fired and was granted unemployment, even though US Bank usually wins. Thank you for the long over due, months paid vacation!! 😁

Branch level employment is very tough with no advancement opportunities. Unrealistic sales goals and pressure that turns away customers. Also very intrusive info needed. Never enough help...long wait times.

I currently work here and the environment can feel very hostile at times. Not enough staff to run branch effectively and pay is not competitive compared to other banks.

Very high pressure, both for sales and customer service goals. Very unrealistic goals. Everyone pretended to like working together. Upper management is scary.

I see "Diverse" in several posts, must NOT have worked in the same business line. Diversity is severely lacking; intimidation and scare tactis are prevelant within "management". Banks own accountability is shaky as no one seems to have an actual answer for procedures.
