U.S. Xpress Professional Truck Driver CDL A (Team Driver) Review

An incredibly stressful environment

As a team truck driver, beware. The job is incredibly demanding physically and mentally. Constantly you will be running from location to location with very few breaks. There will be situations where you get stuck or experience storms that will trap you and you will not be compensated because you aren't moving. No sick leave or paid time off. So, if you get sick in the truck, you are stuck with it. The company will do little to help. It's like pulling teeth with them. Management does not care about basic human care. Pushing their employees to the breaking point. Hence why the job, has an incredibly high turnover rate. Please think more heavily on this path. It will take its toll on you.

Same role

It’s what you make it and expect

So I was on a dedicated Walmart account with USXPRESS, as a first time experience with any company I believe it was a great starting place and also could have been long lasting depending on your what’s and expectations. I honestly would say you get paid for what you do. You’re not delivering big machines to Ford or anything like that so don’t expect that type of pay if so this not for you. You’re delivering Walmart goods and for that it pays well for the average driver. It’s simple once you get the hang of everything from the trucks to the job. You can pretty much know what to expect after about a month or less, actually on the account not including your orientation, or schooling training or anything like that before you get to this point. As a student coming in I was with a trainer on this account for about a month then I was on my own. For beginners, Give it a try with no complaints, do your best, see if you like it, if not use it as a stepping stone and move on , To Experience Drivers it’s promising work, it’s steady and fair you can get stability working this account. If you tired of being OTR but still want decent pay you can make this work. God bless, wish you the best

Management lies to much to the employees

All they do is lie and layoff! Management lies to the employees telling them they have nothing to worry about then will layoff half the departments !!
