They absolutely do drug test but not usually the same day as your interview unless you attend a job fair or hiring event. I was drug tested same day at a hiring event, while my bf was not drug tested same day when he had a one on one interview. They also do random drug tests and drug test anytime you have an accident or on the job injury. If you fail one of those fandoms, you will be escorted off the premises.

The background check varies. It depends on how many different states you’ve lived in your whole life. It also depends on how many items are on your background. If you are clean and have only lived in the state you are applying for a job in, it comes back relatively quickly, averaging a couple of days depending on what day of the week it’s submitted. If you have multiple hits on your background it takes a little longer because they investigate each item on your background. Misdemeanors abd Felonies don’t automatically bar you from employment. We have drug offenders and violent crime offenders at our location. Murder and sexual assault crimes WILL bar you from employment though.
