Traveled the Eastern part of the country. Met great people. Sold a ton of magazines and the reason I am not there anymore is they shut the print portion down. A shame. Good people there.

Advertising Assistant
Editorial Assistant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 18, 2017
USNews & World Report was a great place to work. I worked as a secretary and was promoted to assisting the head of the production department. This entailed proofreading articles for typographical errors for the editor, selling advertising space via telephone and assisting staff in completion of special projects. My bosses were all nice to me. I had great benefits and left with a generous 401K check. The hardest part of my job was filling in all the down time we had. So I decided to temp and accepted an offer from a law firm.
Pros
Lively easy going atmosphere
Cons
Lots of free time; lots of time for some to gossip
