The company succeeds at making employees feel valued and given the opportunity to succeed. There are difficulties in hours and scheduling but this is mainly on the client side. There are plenty of opportunities to collaborate and interact with everyone at the company.

Pros

Good workplace and support, pay, communication

Cons

Hours

It is a good second job or side hustle, I would not depend it as a full time income unless you do not have many responsibilities.

What is the best part of working at the company? The best part about driving is being independent and making my own schedule. Customer service is there to help you when needed and they offer great perks. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The most stressful part is finding an address when homes do not have visible numbers however GPS will get you as close as possible in most cases. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It is what you make it. You are an independent contractor. What is a typical day like for you at the company?A typical day is to let the app know you are online, find the hot spots and wait for an order to arrive. Usually in the busy time it only takes a little while.

Drivers getting paid less

Every week drivers like me are making less and less and our costs for gas, car repairs and maintenance keep going up. I've been with Uber 6 years and my pay has dropped over 65%. Uber pays less then the IRS gives you per mile deduction. Do not drive for Uber full time with a car loan or you will lose money, Remember in order to make a living you have to put miles on your car. The best scenario is if you want to make 50k a year expect 50,000 miles a year on your car within 3 years you will start having mechanical issues some serious, so you probably won't be able to pay car off before it dies and cost thousands to repair and your cars resale value will drop, Just be cautious because days of making good money are gone especially when Uber is taking 50% or more from the cost of the ride. They have made it unaffordable to drive.

I would have given Uber all starts but they did my wrong

Uber was great for the most part. Sometimes you would deal with a “hard to deal with” customer but it was never really to bad for me. I loved that you could drive in and state and I loved the money I was making. It was really helping me balance out my personal and mom life. And left me pretty stressed free. I was starting my app one day and i was prompted to take a log in photo as usual. As I was taking the photo I dropped my phone submitting a blurry photo. I had also had a durag on that day . Not as if that ever mattered as I was had something different going on with my head . Uber deactivated my account . Denied my appeal 2x . And I haven’t been able to drive since . The start off a trickle affect. At that point I gained an I’ll taste about Uber .

Cool

It was cool for the summer. I have a steady job but pick up extra shifts. Overall. Liked controlling how late or early I started. Thus things need more words apparently.

Decent opportunities

The market is very saturated in westchester due to drivers from the city coming to work in westchester and the app for drivers is very inconcistent with request payouts.

What is the best part of working at the company? They don’t pay well for the delivery & don’t encourage the customer to tip the delivery partner What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The company is successful because of the delivery partner, with out us, I’m sure the executive will not go out & do the delivery themselves What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Must of the delivery partner are immigrants with out English comprehension What is a typical day like for you at the company? It’s very dangerous to be outside doing delivery on the bicycle, dealing with the traffic

Great job

Working for Uber is a great job. It’s easy and allows you to do what you need to get done throughout the day. If you love being on the road then this is the job for you.

Great free lancing job

Great for gig work, pay is amazing. However only downside is that customers can submit false report which can violate your contract resulting in permanent deactivation.

Great for extra income

Definitely have to put in time and figure out optimal hours and locations of driving . You are limited to a specific area so you can’t go out of town to deliver. You can have access to your earnings the same day. You make your own hours and ending times

Pros

Very flexible for making your own schedule

Cons

A lot of people are doing it so it varies on amount per order

All Future employees BEWARE

I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from deciding to drive for this company! There are a tremendous amount of requirements/HOOPS involved with minimal aid given from an IT standpoint to fix and resolve problems.

Cash out only 5x weekly LAME

Being a driver you have only five times to cash out per week and other apps. You are able to cash out every single day as needed for the most part and most people who work as gig workers and delivery drivers need to be able to cash out more than five times a week. This is ridiculous to be the biggest delivery service out here. It needs to be better to the drivers.

Not a worth job.

What is the best part of working at the company?Management of your own time is the only positive thing I can say about it. It is not a convenient job. You destroy your car and you have to reduce gas, and taxes from the money you earn, so at the end your salary probably is going to be less than $8 per hours. It's not worth. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? You don't know exactly where are you driving to deliver the order. You can find yourself in a safe risky situation., or just in the middle of a dark and isolated rural field. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?N/A. The environment won't come from the company but from the restaurants and customers. They are mostly nice and friendly. What is a typical day like for you at the company? The job is kinda a fun for me.

Productive and fun to work

It's productive and fun place to work when it's nice and steady just have to pay attention to detail and instructions cause once you mess up it's going to fall apart specially if it's busy so just make sure you have instructions and directions before you head out for the delivery if not contact the customer ahead of time so you're not confused lost and late

Pros

Can take breaks whenever you want

Cons

Not enough pay

Best job ever

You make as much as you want to make, self paced, best offers during peak times. Gets better once you get the hang of peak times, millage to invest depending on the offer etc.. plus Uber have me a scholarship with ASU. Thank you Uber Eats!

Good flexibility but inconsistent

You can make decent money while delivering but it mainly falls onto how long you have been doing the work for to understand which areas work and don't work. Inconsistent pay and sometimes feels like the app is purposely not giving you work. Good part time work if you are a high school student or college student, and you can cash out daily up to 5 times which is a nice feature for quick cash.

Good app if you are trying to make extra money. NOT Lucrative enough to even pay shared rent.

You make your own hours, but even if you spend 40-50 hours a week driving there is barely enough made to support yourself. Depending on where you are and the competition of people on the app and others, like door dash , you could just be sitting in your car for hours before and order request comes through.

Pros

Flexible work hours

Cons

Everything else
