Excellent new graduate nurse program
Written by Clinical Nurse I & II (Registered Nurse, RN) (Former Employee) from Sacramento, CA on January 5, 2019
Great place for new graduate nurses. A mixture of classroom, skills lab, and on unit preceptorship. A solid foundation. Then on going training as a novice and middle experience in specialties. Inpatient setting very limited opportunities for acknowledging expert level; while very common in outpatient setting. Lateral transfer opportunities and funds - more... for tuition and/or conferences. But no support for after graduation in role transformation opportunities. - less
ProsOpportunities for overtime, educational funds, strong nurse education
ConsNeed to get into clinic for advancement otherwise limited to longevity
