I loved working at Ucsf. I had a lot of job advancement and was able to increase my skill set while working there. Everyone is always willing to help and teach, from the MA’s to the Doctors. I honestly enjoyed working here and I’d definitely go back.

loved working here. i was let go due to being overstaffed.

typical day we'd see anywhere from 40 to 90 pediatric patients daily

i learned that its always busy here and when there's downtime you don't know what to do aside from the usual ordering and restocking supplies

management.... hmmm.. there were a few exceptional managers.

coworkers are very territorial.

there's no hard part of this job

most enjoyable part we're the patients

I love working at UCSF because it is a teaching hospital. I enjoy being around learning and teaching all the time. I learn a lot and the doctors here treat you like equals. I just wish management could be just as amazing as the doctors. We are in a Union, but Management acts like we aren't. There is lack of communication and not enough support. I cant say that al of UCSF is like this, but the clinic that I work in has this problem.
Pros
Learning environment, great pay, amazing doctors
Cons
lack of communication, under staffed, management unorganized

i liked the people that took the time out to train me and make sure i did an effecient job. we see around 100 patients a day so it is very fast paced sometimes , so learning had to come quick for me. My manager checked on me to see if i caught up and understood everything. The hardest pat of the job was remembering everyones names but i enjoyes meeting the patients and coworkers and learning how to advance.
Pros
free coffee
Cons
morning lunch
