The place of work is high, the management care about their commissions or bonuses so the more turns more money in their pockets, they hired a porter but pay him as a lead tech and the guy calls off every week, and was late pretty much everyday for the 16 months I worked there, but the plot thickens, that's where my service manager got his illegal poison of choice from, so writing up his dealer/ employee was not an option due to the fact if he wrote him up for being late everyday to get managements personal poison would come back to bite him in the butt.So i always asked he tells you 30 minutes before work starts hes not comming or is late everyday? You never wrote him up one time? Wow so my work flow was ridiculous both my team memebers never wanted to work, if they did they would do like changing a light bulb takes 2 hours while im cleaning up everything nobody else wanted to do like hvac, vents, trash outs some turns with domestic holes everywhere while you struggle your associates are just hidding behind the scenes. This affected my life, my kids life I had to fill in a lot of weekends, my physical life, I hurt myself twice working for them cause I would ask for help carrying full loaded hot water heaters that wouldn't drain and nobody would help if I didn't do what I was told, I was always threaten I could get replaced, or I won't get a raise always some kind of black male from management, they would always micro manage me and talk to me like I was their slave not a team memeber, my biggest problem would be I'm doing my own turns work orders 5 star amazing work, ECT then they call me to do their turn that they spent a week in and go make it look right this was cause they sit on their phones all day lock the door and chill in turns that needed just a touch up and minor maintance should of been a day of work, it was a horrible nightmare. So many broken laws by management, not giving us proper breaks, to not giving me any personal protective equipment, my life and safety was the last thing they cared about when the #1 priority was getting loaded, with that he had his nice days when he was feeling good but they was only a couple since addiction is real and there was more down and negative personality then positivty... The saddest part of it all was getting to know the residents on a personal level, and listening how they felt uncomfortable when he would come do a work orders, giving dirty looks, no regards to their concerns doing a 1 star quality job and they pay good rent money it just wasn't right. 19 years there he's done washed up and always was saying how much he hated the company and this is suppose to be my supervisor?😲 a lead? I will never follow a failed example. Update hired with world wide company as a Electrical Mechanical Engineer went from a nightmare to living a dream thank you UDR for showing me what I don't want out of life working with deadbeats.
