Don’t waste your time
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Fort Worth, TX - June 1, 2023
Some members of management can be okay. The work environment is toxic! The company will promise on thing and do the complete opposite. I would advise strongly against considering this employer.

Stressful and tiring.
HVAC Installer (Former Employee) - Cleburne, TX - April 16, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? They have unlimited money to pay for their mistakes What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Not having the company support you as an employee with issues pertaining to your job itself What is the work environment and culture like at the company? If you do not speak Spanish you do not belong really What is a typical day like for you at the company? Lots of problems, lots of red tape to try and avoid. No one listens to any problems they only care about results

Great work culture
Cabin Sales Consultant (Current Employee) - Fort Worth, TX - December 11, 2019
Pay structure changed with in first couple weeks of starting.was very confused on how long it would actually take for me to start earning a real paycheck... it is nice they offer a base salary plus commissions but if you are selling cabins be advised it will most likely take 6 months to 9 months before you see your first commission check

I have the highest regard for Mr. Ulrich and the company.
Executive Assistant (Former Employee) - Cleburne, TX - November 6, 2018
My position was frrom 8-5 but could involve evening work if arrangements needed to be made for the President. Coming from a very large company to a smaller, rapidly expanding company was an adjustment. The company is growing very rapidly and experiencing growing pains. In my opinion, it's a great company to work for with an remarkable individual at the helm.

A good idea but needs some real introspection
Shed Sales (Commission) (Former Employee) - Cleburne, TX - June 22, 2018
The top management really does try to run the company by true awesome core values. This is definitely one of the best i've ever seen do this. However, it's sometimes hard to make sure lower management does the same thing as expected by CEO.
Came on expecting to make 6 figures as claimed in the job ad for full commissioned rep. Came to find out, only a few reps ever hit those numbers. Not just me - there's a pretty big revolving door for sales people on the Shed side.
I have high expectations that the CEO will step in and fix the problems that exist, and the growing pains they are experiencing will get worked out.
The CEO Jonathan Ulrich is a true visionary and great man.
Pros
monthly meetings keeping everyone informed; breakfast and starbucks provided by company
Cons
long hours, micromanagment (listening to phone calls, video cameras)

Never aging
Customer Service Manager (Former Employee) - Cleburne, TX - April 5, 2018
This company has given me a bad view of Faith based companies. They preach one thing and do the opposite. They have illegal immigrants who are family members working under another family members name to pay them however they fired other illegal workers. They promise you whatever it takes to get you in the door and never deliyon their promises.

Poor Management
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Cleburne, TX - April 1, 2018
Bad management on the shed sales side, violent workplace, average rep makes 20k to 30k a year. Over complicated process, company tries to control to much of what you do outside of work.

Fair Place
Customer Service (Current Employee) - Cleburne, TX - November 27, 2017
This environment is fair, but sometimes employees are overlooked or taken advantage of. Monthly meetings are held to keep everyone up to speed on company.

I love selling cabins at Ulrich Log Cabins!
Cabin Sales (Current Employee) - Cleburne, TX - October 31, 2017
Ulrich Log Cabins is a great place to work. The people I get to work with are amazing, I am convinced that there is not a place on earth with nicer more genuine people. Our management team is very positive and encouraging and our Owner is incredibly generous with us and with the community. Even though all of these things are great, the thing that I love the most is that we pray at our sales meetings. I feel very blessed to be apart of this company and know that good things are ahead.

Ulrich Lives by its Core Values
VP of Retail Sales (Current Employee) - Cleburne, TX - October 30, 2017
I've worked at Ulrich a little over a year. Having owned my own business and having spent the past 32 years in the professional world, I can honestly say that Ulrich Barn Builders is a breath of fresh air.
It's not often that a company will post their Core Values all around the organizations and then actually run the business and base decisions based on those values. Values alone don't make the business... but the people living the values is THE ULRICH DIFFERENCE.
The work environment is fast-paced and high energy. We work hard, with a focus on being the industries BEST!
Cons
The parking lot is crowded, get here early!!
