What's the dress code like?

My store is lax on some of these guidelines as employees wear leggings without a log tunic and nearly everyone, including the managers, wear slide on sneakers (no laces though).

This portion is copied directly from the Ulta rule book:

GUIDELINES
Personal appearance must reflect the Ulta Beauty brand.

Clothing must be professional, in good condition, pressed, with no fading, tears, fraying, or holes. Denim, twill, and other casual fabrics are not acceptable.

All associates must adhere to the standards outlined in this document upon punching in for their scheduled shift, unless as noted in the exceptions section of this document, or as communicated by the home office.

TOPS
Acceptable tops:
Shirt or blouse (sleeveless is acceptable)
Camisole (only when worn under a blouse, jacket, blazer or sweater)
Vest, jacket, blazer or sweater
Any tops made available to purchase by Ulta Beauty
Requirements:
Must be one of the following colors:
Black
White
Mad for Magenta
Orange pop
Must provide appropriate coverage; low cut tops are not permitted
Must cover the midriff during all times

PANTS
Acceptable pants:
Full-length, mid-length (capris) or ankle-length pants
Leggings or jeggings when worn with a dress
Requirements:
Must be solid black
Must not touch the floor

SKIRTS
Must be solid black
Must not be any more than 3” above the knee
May be work with black, white, or nude tights or hosiery

DRESSES
Must have sleeves
Must be solid black or white
Must not be any more than 3” above the knee
May be worn with solid black leggings or jeggings
May be worn with solid black, white, or nude tights or hosiery
May be worn with a professional jacket, blacker, or sweater

SHOES
Dress sandals
Dress shoes or boots (flat or heels)
Open-toed shoes (as long as toes are well manicured)
Gym shoes (only during shipment processing)
Unacceptable shoes:
Casual shoes (sneakers, flip-flops, moccasins, and foam shoes)
Winter boots
Requirements:
May be any color or pattern that reflects the current season’s trends
Must be closed-toed if processing shipment

UNDERGARMENTS
Must remain concealed at all times

Makeup is not required but must be smudge free.

Nails can be painted but not chipped and clean.

Recent is all black or pop of Ulta pink or orange. Can also wear a white top. No casual fabrics. Close toed shoes of any color. Makeup needs to be at least minimal. Tattoos ok, only one facial piercing.

Black dress pants that must have a pocket. Although “four corner pockets” aren’t allowed. Yet neither are black dress pants with no pockets and black or white shirt or black dress to the knee. Must be “crisp” as stated. Basically you dress like your going to a law firm for minimum wage.

Black slacks, no denim or leggings, plain white or plain black top, occasionally ulta orange and magenta is allowed, during holidays the holiday ad colors are allowed. No gym shoes, any color shoes but they have to be in style
