WELLCANES ASSISTANT (Former Employee) –  Coral Gables, FLApril 18, 2018
UM is the place to be! I am so happy to be there. I was almost an Alumni but it was not to be. I'm a very proud FIU panther. The hardest part was working within time constraints. I tend to just try to get the job done as best as I can, even if I have to work overtime. The most enjoyable part was working with such intelligent and capable young and older (never too old!) people.
Pros
Free lunches.
Cons
Time.

Canvasser (Former Employee) –  Missoula, MTAugust 6, 2015
I worked one day as a canvasser and disliked it because the supervisor was a little pushy and aggressive but it also seemed very dangerous to me going door to door by myself in 70-90+ degree weather asking people for large amounts of money toward the late afternoon. It scared me because I went to one house and almost got attacked by a mans dog and it was very hard to stay positive when lots of people looked down on a stranger cutting into their personal time at home and bothering them about politics. However the money was kind of worth it. We were paid $10/hr and given 20% of whatever amount was made after hitting the quota in money donations
Pros
The income was great
Cons
The work was overwhelming, scary, and displeasing

Master's thesis (Former Employee) –  Ann Arbor, MISeptember 21, 2013
A typical day at work consisted in reading papers, writing Matlab code, writing reports, doing presentations, going to meetings, teaming with colleagues.

It was research-based work. I learned what was full time research laboratory for 6 months. My co-workers were fantastic, and my supervisor very concerned about the students.

The most enjoyable part of the job was to team with my co-workers, meaning discuss and exchange ideas.
