A typical day would be a moderate work flow, however transportation is a major issue in the hospital in general. to bring a patient to the lab. The Ultrasound machines were not high end when I was working there. I appreciated my time at UM, my co-workers were great and the supervisor at that time was great. The hardest part of the job was being on call for a week and waiting for transportation to bring a patient. The most enjoyable part of my job was to help diagnose and save lives of my patients.
pay rate was not at par with other facilities in the area.
UM is the place to be! I am so happy to be there. I was almost an Alumni but it was not to be. I'm a very proud FIU panther. The hardest part was working within time constraints. I tend to just try to get the job done as best as I can, even if I have to work overtime. The most enjoyable part was working with such intelligent and capable young and older (never too old!) people.
Canvasser (Former Employee) – Missoula, MT – August 6, 2015
I worked one day as a canvasser and disliked it because the supervisor was a little pushy and aggressive but it also seemed very dangerous to me going door to door by myself in 70-90+ degree weather asking people for large amounts of money toward the late afternoon. It scared me because I went to one house and almost got attacked by a mans dog and it was very hard to stay positive when lots of people looked down on a stranger cutting into their personal time at home and bothering them about politics. However the money was kind of worth it. We were paid $10/hr and given 20% of whatever amount was made after hitting the quota in money donations
