Cross training would come in effect very well especially with a new customer. someone else could set up the account so driver could continue his day not make it even longer then it already is. job should not always funnel down to the driver

I started out as a CSR at the age of 20...Then we lost both of our sales reps the same week so I was bumped into the sales position with zero sales experience but I knew they were in a bind and the pay rate and car allowance was A LOT more than I was making so I volunteered to help out... I hate sales but managed to go to Texas for training and finished top of the class , was a sales rep for a year , still hating sales then I was promoted to a District Service Manager and had 5 RSR under me ... I think I was one of the few women in that position and in my mid 20’s but I hit the jump seat with my drivers and did their route with them .. My whole point is that if Unifirst would CROSS TRAIN their employees it would make a huge difference.. I sent the sales reps with the drivers , made the drivers stay in the office here and there , put the office girls on the route with the drivers etc etc ... Once everyone seen first hand what that person deals with everything changed and was more understood why things happen one way when we are saying it should happen another... CROSS TRAINING helped with turnover , morale and teamwork ...

Have a confidential survey quarterly for sales reps to identify issues they have at their location. Let employees know they can contact corporate HR since there isn't a local HR Rep.

Stop putting 20 stops on your RSR's and stop not telling them that they have new stops coming as well. what made me really mad esp with new stops is that the new acct wasnt even set up correctly.
