Frustrating but Rewarding - Territory Manager
Territory Sales Manager (Former Employee) – Brewster, NY – December 3, 2015
Although I am not a big fan of sales, this sales job was pretty great. The autonomy to run your territory how you see fit, the ability to develop your own sales solutions, freedom to run your own business unit. The best part of the job is the people; everyone is relatively laid back and likes to have a good time after working their butts off. I haven't worked at a company where I've seen the Owner/CEO, President, COO, and CFO so often; they are all locked into the success of each location and each salesman individually. Big focus on hiring from within as well - only downside is that the organization has a relatively shallow hierarchy and there isn't much opportunity for quick advancement. If you work your butt off, they notice and they peg you early on for success, just depends on how long you can be on the sales side before you get burnt out.
Love the company, love the people, very difficult decision to leave.
rewarding, culture, people, ownership/leadership, autonomy, make your own schedule
grueling work schedule if you want to be successful, can get burnt out quickly, high end products in a saturated marketplace
