enjoyed my time working for the Union Kitchen, as I worked on finishing my undergrad. The hours are flexible and the expectations are fair. I worked as a shift lead five nights a week.

If they can find someone cheaper, they will replace you. This is why the quality of staff, food and Hospitality continues to decline. It's sad to witness the injustice to the industry.

ManagementIn general, managers at Union Kitchen are dysfunctional. They dont do their job, they are passive agressive, dont prep, dont cut staff when they need to, ask very personal questions and you are based as a person on how you get along with your coworkers, not all, just the old staff, if your not chummy or hanging out with the old staff then its brought up as a performance issue. I wish i was joking

Everything is good but pay, policy is unamerican and should be investigated. All workers should be paid back pay for wages lost. People working there recieve a 1/6th of what they earn, taking a loss of 500 dollars a week in tip money earned individually.

If you need a job and you’ve worked in the industry before, this is the gig for you. Great menu , full bar and a great wine list. Each location might be different but the same menu applies. Brunches are amazing and always crowded. You can work as little or as much as you can. Again, if you’re in the hospitality business, this is where you want to work.
