Ability to enhance skill set, but lacked positive culture.
Supervisor, Program Management (Current Employee) –  Memphis, TNJanuary 27, 2018
United BioSource Corporation provides an excellent environment to improve skills required to be successful in the pharmaceutical support services industry. While the ability to learn new skills is available, the company struggles with the inability to implement a positive atmosphere for the employees. The lack of fostering a positive work environment causes the focus of the business to struggle occasionally. United BioSource Corporation has a business model that may prevent adequate care being provided to the patient while redirecting efforts to meet contractual obligations with a client. If you are seeking to enhance your abilities within the healthcare industry, United BioSource Corporation can provide that opportunity. Advancing your career may require an employee to eventually part ways with UBC, but you will be able to take valuable skills and knowledge with you.
Pros
Exposure to key areas in healthcare; Ability to fine tune required skills
Cons
Lack of positive atmosphere; Business model can prohibit adequate service for patients

Senior Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Overland Park, KSJanuary 25, 2018
Coming from a company that had really good training, it was hard entering into an environment where I had never received formal training. As a supervisor, I'd like to be a resource and I had to do a lot of self study to figure out what was going on. Developing leadership was not a priority and I felt useless.
Pros
compensation and easy-going atmosphere
Cons
lack of development and operational tools

Wonderful place to work but did not have good structure or management at that time whe ESI took over. ImIBC has now been sold so hopefully it will return to a positive and structured environment before it was sold to ESI
Pros
Great work environment when done correctly.

Senior Clinical Nurse Educator (Current Employee) –  Blue Bell, PAJanuary 3, 2018
UBC is a great company to work for. However, there is a good deal of growth as they are disorganized and somewhat new to the game. I would recommend this company.

UBC is a good place to work. I have had the privilege of having excellent directors. There is little room for growth depending on which contract you work under.

As a work at home employee, the work/life balance is great. Teammates are friendly. Management truly cares for employees. The hardest part of the job is not being able to communicate face to face with employees we work with on a daily basis.

UBC is a pleasant place to work, but the jobs are based on contracts. The last few years they have lost contracts that have resulted in a reduction in force.

A great place to work if you dont need a secured schedule
Sr. Reimbursement Specialist (Former Employee) –  Sait Louis, MOSeptember 14, 2017
I started off as a Sr. Reimbursement Specialist. loved this job because of the pay and the PTO availability. This job is for you if you don't mind shift bids. This is also a call center and most people don't know that until hired. If you are looking to be a salaried employee this review might not help you.
Pros
lunch days, hourly pay, pto
Cons
work/life balance, consitency, and care for employees

UBS I client based operation. Keeping the client up-to-date on the daily activities of the HUB are required. Keeping the team on track to maintain SLA's and goals is daily activity. Overall a great place to work.

UBC is a good company to work for, however the program I am currently working on has lost their contract. This is not uncommon at UBC. Because of this, I am looking to work for another company.
