Not a company designed with care for employees.
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Savoy, ILJuly 16, 2018
This was by far the worst company I've ever worked for. The class I trained with all didn't know our pay rate or that we were a part of a union. They don't train you in the sense of preparing you for operation. They simple give you a million modules and tell you memorize it all. Once you're up and operating, you simple become an assembly line worker to them. They do not care about you as a human, a person, or even an employee. They see you as a disposable piece of machinery that should keep their boat oiled and floating successfully with gratitude.
Pros
none

The entire company!!!

I love the benefits of working for the airline. Great environment. I don't like when we have delays but it's worth it due to the benefits you receive and discounts on flights and other things.

fun place to work
Ramp Agent (Former Employee) –  Savannah, GAApril 9, 2018
it was a fun place to work and fast paced. The other employees were very nice and the manager was nice. A typical day was loading luggage on the airplanes.

Underpaid and mediocre management
ACS (Former Employee) –  Sarasota, FLApril 4, 2018
The pay is very low for the amount of work required. Management is very unprofessional and does not know who to speak to employees in a respectful manner. Forget about having a social life on days that you have to work, you never get off when you are scheduled too.

Great travel benefits, long, unpredictable days
Agent/Customer Service (Current Employee) –  Palm Springs, CAApril 2, 2018
Great travel benefits, fun people to work with. Everybody from agents to local management are underpaid for what they do. You really never know what a typical day is going to be like and it can be hard to make plans in the short and long term because of irregular operations or because of a changing work schedule (bid process).
Pros
Great travel benefits, no two days are the same
Cons
Low pay, irregular hours and unpredictable nature of work

Agent (Current Employee) –  Hobbs, NMMarch 7, 2018
I’ve worked for UGE a couple of years now, and I find it a professional and caring organization. Management makes sure you are properly trained and comfortable when completing new tasks. They also try to make it a fun environment to work in. It’s a good entry level start in the airline industry and they offer great growth potential.
Pros
Travel, fun manager
Cons
Pay, changing schedules

I love working here so much, my only concern is that you do a lot of work for very little pay. Its fun to work here and I really love what I do, I just wish they paid more for it because it is stressful.
Pros
free flights, growth, fun job
Cons
pay, union sucks

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Milwaukee, WIJanuary 24, 2018
Good place for a young 18-23 year old to start working who lives with parents or friends. If you have a family, this isn't the job for you because hours aren't set in stone as they can change at any moment depending on flights or the lack of employees.

Lack of mentorship
Ramp Agent (Current Employee) –  Milwaukee, WINovember 24, 2017
You work hard while senior agents do not. the lack of mentorship and training is not very good. The corporate trainers are great, but when you are back at your station, you are not mentored.

Ramp Agent (Current Employee) –  Dayton, OHOctober 24, 2017
It can be fun working with this company but things get stressful and hectic when your station is understaffed. The flight benefits are okay. And the other discounts received are decent.

Fun but mentally and physically stressful
Ticket & Gate Agent (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCOctober 9, 2017
The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with a diverse population. The hardest day on the job is when the flights have been cancelled and must inconvenience passengers by rebooking them on other carriers or at inconvenience times for other flight(s).
Pros
working along side a good coworker
Cons
standing all day, dealing with unskilled (tech/mgnt) supervisors

Poor management , preferencial treatment, disrespect
CSA - Customer Service Associate (Former Employee) –  Milwaukee, WISeptember 13, 2017
I worked got UGE for 5months , at least in MKE the turnover is very high . The math is simple –when you increase retention, there is less costs for recruiting and training new employees , management should learn how to credit and appreciate good loyal employees. It's costing the company big money.
Pros
Flight benefits if you can get on . It's also could be costly if you get stranded .
Cons
Unprofessional, people with poor higiene, rude and very abusive coworkers .
