Most of my fellow Visitor Service staff members were great and supportive. The managers and upper management would listen to problems but were unlikely to stick out their necks for you.

Management is abrasive, uncaring and disinterested in new ideas. They are doing things the same archaic way the Museum started in the 1990s and unfortunately if you're a younger employee you will get extremely frustrated by the lack of vision and openness. The really talented staff here either end up getting fired or leaving after a few years. The management is very status quo and terrified by anyone who might outshine them.
