LETTER CARRIER/SALES AND SERVICE ASSOCIATE in Anthony and Kingman, KS

It was a good job to have in a small community.
Prepare (case) mail for delivery. Deliver mail on a timely basis. My original manager was excellent, he knew what was going on at all times. He left the office and checked on you, he also made every effort to make employees feel appreciated. He had done the job, he knew that it wasn't always pleasant lugging that mail satchel around in rain, sleet, hail or snow. The last manager I had, never left the office. She managed by reading emails from headquarters. I have an excellent work ethic, I don't feel the company I work for owes me anything that I don't earn. The hardest part of the job as a carrier was probably delivering in deep snow, it was very taxing. The most enjoyable part was when it was sunny and 75, no better job to have.

Worst place to work
I wish someone would have told me the truth before I applied ! Management is terrible! The post office doesn’t care about you , your family , your kids ! Your personal life or anything it’s a sad depressing day it take years before you can get in good ( or Career ) they work you 6-7 days a week for two years straight until you become Career , if you have small children I wouldn’t recommend the over time is crazy and forced ! They force you to work 12 hours shifts some days I don’t get home until night your family will end up raising your kids it’s sad . I hate this place ! Really have to be strong mentally to put up with this place !

Great Company to Work for if you are Single with No Responsibilities at Home.
I would still be working for this company as a City Carrier if they were more flexible on their hours and days off. Mom/Wife here and working 6 days a week for undetermined hours and not sure if you will be shipped off to other Post Offices on any given day, with the schedule changing almost daily was stressful and not for me. Management and Co-Workers were all amazing and I lost 50lbs and felt amazing physically. If I would have have a set schedule with 2 days off a week I would still be there honestly but my son and husband come first before any job.

The money was good.
The money was okay. The constant calls from the manager while driving the vehicle was distracting and put a lot of pressure on you. They expect you to learn the route asap.
