How flexible are your working hours at United States Postal Service?

  • Not at all. Hours are first thing in the morning until the last truck returns in the evening.

  • Not very. You have to let managers know weeks before hand if you have an appointment, and you have to HOPE you get the time off. If you do, no one else does that work that you missed out on. It’ll be sitting there waiting for you when you come back. Also you’re put on a list for time off and are only allowed so much. If 5 people already asked for a particular day, you obviously aren’t going to get the day no matter how important.
