Just got hired as a CCA in Los Angeles. They said the position has a 30% success rate. When signed my paperwork it said in big bold letters that the job does not lead to permanent employment. If that is true then I'd rather take another job offer that I have. Will I really be temporary or can they keep me?

  • If you can survive your time as a CCA and not give up you have a really good chance of promotion to career especially if you work at a larger location. My advice is to never be absent and come in when they call you until you make regular.

  • If you show up and work you will get a permanent position. You just have to wait for retirements. You can transfer anywhere in the country.

  • I'd say just take the job offer that you got now, cause i've seen people work for the Post Office for years before becoming regular.

  • They wont keep you. They will lie to you, because the lie will keep you motivated and will keep you there in general... but they will use you and abuse you, treat you like a number and remind you that you are replaceable in order to manipulate you into trying to do the impossible. Trust me, take the other job offer. If they offer stability, work life balance, benefits, or even a set schedule, you are going to be 100% better off with the other job offer.

  • Because they have such a high drop rate, they will probably end up needing you. They just say it's "temp" so there is no commitment to you, so in the case they don't need you, your gone. But so many people quit because they work you like a mule. And you make half or so of what a topped out career employee makes. And you will work harder.

  • There is a chance that they will keep you
