I have applied for usps in the past many times before. I’ve done a background with his a few times I applied. But was never selected for a position. Well this time I applied for a pse position on 7/16/19 and received a call on 7/19 to interview in person on 7/22. Well I haven’t received any emails for a background or drug test? Just curious because I scored a 98 on the 477 exam and my interview went great. My past job experiences definitely matches well with the job. The PM said I should expect an email in 3 days. Just wondering what to expect because like I said I haven’t received emails for background check or drug test. Plus on the usps login site it says pre hire list in process.
Postal office they have me on the pre-hire list
Prehire usually means you are being considered for an interview. That was not the case for me. I was on a prehire list for 6 months and then received an email stating that I was not selected for the position. Hire list usually means that you've been selected after your interview and hopefully you'll receive an offer.
Hiring List means you have been already been approved to be hired, while pre-hiring list means you are being reviewed for hiring list.
Pre hiring list is when you are being considered and they will send you a email for your interview. Hiring list is when you are recommended after your interview. Offer phase is when they send you the “accept/decline” meaning you have the job.

Pre hiring list
Pre-hire means you are a candidate for a possible interview. Hire means you have met all the requirements and are a job offer is received.
I don't know what the difference is between these two, but you want to look for Offer Phase (EXT), that's the last possible step I believe. Pre-hire could mean you still need to drug test or interview.
My understanding is that pre hiring list means you are waiting for an interview and hiring list means you were recommended.
