You do not become a regular after a year as a CCA. If a regular retires you can apply for their position.
Way more than an RCA, but still not the good ones you hear about. You do go regular after 1 year though, so if you can hold out that long then you are set.

CCA came in to being after I left Grove City Post office. Galloway Post office was all clerk and rural carriers. CCA's earn limited annual leave/sick leave. Their salaries are not equal to regular carriers and have no assigned routes.
