At Hyde Park Surgery center you can call it fast and furious. Management expects 8 hours of work to be done in 4. Get patients ready and then you have 2 hours to call all patients for the next day, get all charts ready, present or scan info to the head Anesthesia person and wait for approval if something fell through the cracks. Re-scan and call all offices to make sure they got the faxes. Then if you're all done with doing consents and everything else you are supposed to call the patients for the next 2 weeks out. You are expected to already know all this and not expected to ask your peers or management for help. If you are super nurse you will be fine. Hire a part-time PAT Nurse or be transparent in what the job actually entails. They don't tell you when you're doing something wrong, instead write-ups are the course of action.

You will be under a microscope, and not seen as a human being. It will be extremely difficult to bring up any ideas, or issues for improvement. Management will spin things to make you look bad and won't listen to you at all.

Appreciate your employees and don't tolerate cruelty. Don't let management lie and make up whatever story they wish to destroy people.

Around 8 to 10. Every back breaking day it was, "Hurry up, hurry up!" But management would have favorites that never helped, always sat and they and management would socialize while the not so favorites worked their butts off. Shame on them for the discrimination and abuse.
