I have been at UHC for several months. Managements expectations...unrealistic. The learning curve...12-18 months. When I was honest with my director about what was lacking and what I have not been instructed on I was told to ask, however i have no idea what to ask if you don’t know a process. Can not bring any concerns to management if I feel that there are issues with my direct supervisor, I was told that I should not speak negatively about my supervisor. I was simply stating that I did not receive instruction on particular aspects of my position. It’s pointless. I am an adult learner with over 40 years of work experience. If you disagree with someone, you are considered to be combative. I am constantly interrupted...pinged...and expected to respond immediately even if participating in an important meeting. I am never permitted to focus on one thing at a time, and I feel that I have approximately 1/3 of my supervisors attention, making her not present in any moment, but rather responding emailing and pinging other individuals making me realize that she has conflicting priorities and I or the other individual is not a priority at the moment. I also lose my train of thought when constantly continually interrupted.
