Contract Attorney (Former Employee) – Richmond, VA – August 18, 2018
You will see favoritism and cliques bad management and overall non-collegial work environment. On the other hand if you get in and out and have no one notice you you’ll get paid and be done with it. It’s no way to make. Careee but it’s fine for a way to ride out waiting for the right job or bar results. Some have eased through the muck and come to like it there. If you become one of the blessed then you can maybe even like it and advance. Mostly if you are a white male or non-threatening while female. Otherwise forget it (unless you’re married to someone up top)
Company has widely mixed experience depending on office location, vertical assigned to and management reporting to. If you work hard and want to learn, it is definitely as self-starter environment with great opportunities to create your own world. However, it's very easy to get lost or hide if your not ready to go after it.
Project Attorney (Current Employee) – Atlanta, GA – June 18, 2018
It's just a basic document review job. The team I worked on was very confusing as you would be scored on how well you did the previous week. I think this is just bizarre. If you were selected for QC (Quality Control) you are given a lot of over time.

I got this doc review job after leaving my place of employment. It's o.k. but you are pretty much chained to your desk. I think the managers are cool. There are some weird people that work here. You are given docs to review and the instructions are constantly changing about things so it is what it is.
Free starbucks, tea, etc.
Really no breaks unless you clock out. Snack machine costs too much.

The only healthy culture there is among the 'good ole boys' club. (female's included). Watch your back and keep your head down. Bonds among tenured associates is very tight and they are threatened by anyone with new/different ideas/views, or anyone who questions their policies & procedures.
Ediscovery Reviewer (Former Employee) – Richmond, VA – March 2, 2018
Unitedlex is the best place I have worked for document review. Like other review jobs your a bit underpaid and there is not security. The office in Richmond has individual desks which is more comfortable then the long table-cattle trough set up of most places. Usual clicks and favoritism with managers does affect which jobs you get.
Own desk, some benefits after 2000 hours of employment, free parking
Project Attorney (Current Employee) – Blue Ash, OH – January 29, 2018
This is a good place to work temporarily if as a young lawyer you are uncertain what area of the law you would like to pursue, or a as an older lawyer that is looking for a good place to retire from the hectic/stressful pace of a private practice. But it is the best for young attorneys with a high knowledge of IT. If you are a young attorney with IT savvy, you will move up in the ranks pretty quick.
Management cares about employees and the hours are convenient for someone who is not looking for full time permanent placement. Most review centers are open from 7am -7pm with no restrictions on working hours except to maintain minimum of 37.5 per week.
free starbucks coffee
all overtime is paid at straight time; hourly rate is low
Manager (Former Employee) – Miami, FL – December 6, 2017
On call round the clock, low salary for hours committed. Good company with lots of growth. Industry has high turnover, workers are disposable. Only for people who can manage stress well and have no problem working and being on call at all times. Plenty of room for growth for talented individuals, just don't expect huge salary.
Associate (Former Employee) – Overland Park, KS – November 1, 2017
Very entrepreneurial and still trying to define itself. Lacks consistent managerial direction and overall strategy. Very political with senior turfs and posturing. Senior leaders do not work as a team. Makes it difficult for lower levels to be proactive and to plan. Good colleagues who believe in doing the right thing. Excellent place to stretch your cultural sensitivities and to learn about customs of India and to work with colleagues who reside there.
If you have to do document review this place is one of the best in S FL in which to do it. More concern with quality over speed than some others. They seem to value dedication and good work by bringing back those who do well. However, there is very little opportunity for advancement and choice of those for special tasks seems to be based on friendship with certain supervisors.
Free covered parking onsite. Traffic in the area is terrible.
Cliquish management. Awful commute from Broward County.
