Just a Doc Review Job
Project Attorney (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 9, 2018
I got this doc review job after leaving my place of employment. It's o.k. but you are pretty much chained to your desk. I think the managers are cool. There are some weird people that work here. You are given docs to review and the instructions are constantly changing about things so it is what it is.
Pros
Free starbucks, tea, etc.
Cons
Really no breaks unless you clock out. Snack machine costs too much.

Projects begin and end with very little warning. It is a very young environment, and the people are generally pretty friendly. The work consists of repetitive document review.

Good place for experience
Project Attorney (Current Employee) –  Blue Ash, OHApril 20, 2018
Project basis, so there is occasional gaps in employment, and pay is less than a salaried legal position, but I have been treated well and the hours are flexible.

Use this position to float your cost, if you have a solo practice, or, are in between positions. Other than that the environment is friendly, but, not inclusive.

My experience
Project Attorney (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAApril 12, 2018
I did not enjoy my experience here, but it may be different for other attorneys. It is a very laid-back atmosphere that will be enjoyed by some attorneys.

Researcher (Former Employee) –  Overland Park, KSMarch 24, 2018
Not a bad place to work, good as temporary work for people with JD's it is good temporary work, but you wont be stretching yourself, just a way to make money from your jd, certainly not a career...

No Healthy Culture
Employee (Former Employee) –  Richmond, VAMarch 17, 2018
The only healthy culture there is among the 'good ole boys' club. (female's included). Watch your back and keep your head down. Bonds among tenured associates is very tight and they are threatened by anyone with new/different ideas/views, or anyone who questions their policies & procedures.

Best place for document review
Ediscovery Reviewer (Former Employee) –  Richmond, VAMarch 2, 2018
Unitedlex is the best place I have worked for document review. Like other review jobs your a bit underpaid and there is not security. The office in Richmond has individual desks which is more comfortable then the long table-cattle trough set up of most places. Usual clicks and favoritism with managers does affect which jobs you get.
Pros
Own desk, some benefits after 2000 hours of employment, free parking
Cons
Temp. work, no vacation

A relaxed work environment.
Project Attorney (Current Employee) –  Blue Ash, OHJanuary 29, 2018
This is a good place to work temporarily if as a young lawyer you are uncertain what area of the law you would like to pursue, or a as an older lawyer that is looking for a good place to retire from the hectic/stressful pace of a private practice. But it is the best for young attorneys with a high knowledge of IT. If you are a young attorney with IT savvy, you will move up in the ranks pretty quick.
Pros
Relaxed, cooperative atmosphere.
Cons
Contract work. No project equals no pay.

CONTRACT ATTORNEY (Current Employee) –  Miami, FLJanuary 28, 2018
Management cares about employees and the hours are convenient for someone who is not looking for full time permanent placement. Most review centers are open from 7am -7pm with no restrictions on working hours except to maintain minimum of 37.5 per week.
Pros
free starbucks coffee
Cons
all overtime is paid at straight time; hourly rate is low

Very Demanding
Manager (Former Employee) –  Miami, FLDecember 6, 2017
On call round the clock, low salary for hours committed. Good company with lots of growth. Industry has high turnover, workers are disposable. Only for people who can manage stress well and have no problem working and being on call at all times. Plenty of room for growth for talented individuals, just don't expect huge salary.

Growing company with ups and downs
Associate (Former Employee) –  Overland Park, KSNovember 1, 2017
Very entrepreneurial and still trying to define itself. Lacks consistent managerial direction and overall strategy. Very political with senior turfs and posturing. Senior leaders do not work as a team. Makes it difficult for lower levels to be proactive and to plan. Good colleagues who believe in doing the right thing. Excellent place to stretch your cultural sensitivities and to learn about customs of India and to work with colleagues who reside there.
Pros
free pastries and fun employee activities
Cons
unpredictable workload

IT was going in different directions and caused a lot of resources to jump ship. I guess it really depends on the individual as to weather or not you would like to work there.

One of the best document review facilities in S FL
Document Review Attorney (Former Employee) –  Miami, FLJuly 11, 2017
If you have to do document review this place is one of the best in S FL in which to do it. More concern with quality over speed than some others. They seem to value dedication and good work by bringing back those who do well. However, there is very little opportunity for advancement and choice of those for special tasks seems to be based on friendship with certain supervisors.

Free covered parking onsite. Traffic in the area is terrible.
Pros
Beautiful facility.
Cons
Cliquish management. Awful commute from Broward County.

Can be a fun place to work temporarily depending on project manger
QC Document Reviewer (Current Employee) –  Durham, NCJune 26, 2017
You are required to work at least 37.5 hours a week for each project that you are placed on. The project can be complex depending on given guidelines. Having a good project manager (litigation consultant/associate) makes all the difference. If you have one who is lazy and not well informed about the matter you are working on, it will NOT be enjoyable experience.
Pros
Decent pay.

Wonderful co-workers but chaos otherwise
Human Resources Generalist (Former Employee) –  Overland Park, KSMay 24, 2017
The company has some truly outstanding people that work for it but they are not appreciated. Upper management is extremely out of touch and completely unorganized. In the department I was in, the department head had little contact with her employees and it was near impossible to get guidance from her on anything. She often made snap decisions based upon emotion without having all of the facts. It was a highly stressful environment where you were given little to no guidance and essentially set up for failure by lack of communication and training. In my department there was exceptionally high turnover and upper management does not appear to look at those things and remedy the situation. While the company showed great promise with claims of being progressive, innovate, and having an open door policy, the reality was anything but. It was all lip service.
Pros
great co-workers and employees
Cons
management is all over the place; does not follow their own policies are procedures
