Work environment could be better. It seems like in order to advance at this institution it's more about who you know than what you know. Upper management would rather promote younger employees that have have all the credentials/degrees than someone who has several years experience. When you are an experienced person who has worked at other facilities and you try to give your two cents, it's usually met with hesitation or backlash. If you weren't groomed through the University of Miami system all or most of your career, then they are less likely to take you seriously.

I felt good about doing my job to the best of my abilities. But when others slack or are shown favoritism over others makes it disappointing at times. Also the poor political climate is seen and felt throughout the facility.
