Prospective employees or applicants are normally interviewed by Human Resources first, and then by the department seeking the employee. Some departments may have interview panels instead of a one on one interview. Keep in mind that UM is very selective in hiring employees, and their process could take a few days. For the most part once a person passes the drug test, the next step is orientation, normally 8 hours.
